I don't have a lot of experience with different brands but if you are familiar with the Royal & Langnickel brand, Pentel is much better. The ease of blending is there, where as it's non-existent with the R&L brand. The only down side would be the smell. It is a very strong smell and I would recommend letting it air out for a few hours before using them properly. Otherwise, I very good product and I would recommend it to those looking to try out a budget friendly oil pastel.
