Review: Good if your tortoise likes it - Grew very well however my tortoise did squish the grass and unfortunately it all died very quickly and he never even seemed to want to eat it.

I’m very happy to say the grass grew very fast and exceeded my expectations. I chose to plant the seeds in small pots that I purchased separately instead of using the container included in the kit, and they did great. Overall, I’m really pleased with the results and feel confident using the second kit now. Would definitely recommend!

A: Kind funny me and my daughter just ask the same question.  As fast as it grows I believe it is Rye grass.

Instructions are easy to follow and grass grew tall within 5 days! I could actually see visible growth every 12 hours of checking on the grass. I trim the grass every few days to add to my tortoises food and it is continuing to grow back. My tortoise seems to enjoy munching on it as well. Cheap price and worth it for a little treat. Might be too small if you have a large tortoise— if that is the case then buying grass seeds in bulk made for grazing animals is a better option. For a baby tortoise or a small tortoise this is a great food and possible enrichment item if you put it inside the enclosure.
