Yes there is a default mapping. Not sure if you have Mac or windows. Definitely WAY easier on Mac but possible on windows. You’ll just have tons of connections issues and mapping software is not free. These are the default mappings for Mac. You can customize them using Karabiner elements. Can this work on the iOS Xbox app to remote play?

Yes, I have used it for that purpose specifically. Ideally, you pair it to your iOS device first before loading the app. Just be aware this one does not have left or right sticks so it will limit what games you can use it with.
