If it's a partial squeeze, it comes out in more of a stream. If it's a full, quick squeeze, it's more of a wide, fine, fan pattern. **Q: So no one else had a issue with this sprayer? mine did not work right out of the box. returned it to amazon. for 25 dollars not cheap** A: I use a regular pint size spray bottle, BUT!! You have to add water to the oil to make it spray right. Say, 1/2 cup olive oil with 1/4 cup water. Also, be sure you SHAKE it right before you use it to mix the two. Works for ME!!
