You will need # 4 screws, 1/2 inch or 3/8 inch depeding on the hardness of the wood. The softer, the longer. I used several pair of hinges and made a plexiglass template to rout the wood for the hinges. I would recommend using a threaded gimlet to pre thread the wood holes. Brass screw break real easy. I used a cross slide vice to make the plexiglss template and 1/4 inch metal milling bits. inletting the hinges is not a rookie move. look on Brusso site for template ideas . make the template at least 2 inches bigger than the router base, for clamping. Several weeks later installing hinges. They vary in lenght, just enough to make it interesting and cause misaligned box tops , if you do not adjust hinge cut out. Out of 7 pair I have one pair that was defective, they will not open. I used a # 53 drill for the hinges.
