It replaced a pretty expensive and underwhelming Thompson Elite dropper I've had for about 3 years (the only 27.2 I could get at the time) ... which can't be serviced by me or my local shop -- it's only serviceable by sending back to Thompson. PNW, on the other hand, is supposed to be user servicable and the online videos look like anyone with a little patience and a clean work space can do it (but time will tell.) It weighs a few oz. more than the Thompson ... but still pretty reasonable. I've got this installed on a 2016 Specialized Epic FSR Comp (alum frame) I've got maybe 20 to 30 hours on it so far ... no issues. Easy to install and connect to the Wolf Tooth lever I already had. Review: Great product - I bought this and the lever kit for my friends bike and it was great. He rides a XC hardtail and this work perfectly for the bike. It was also really easy and enjoyable to install.
