Durable canvas, ordered the black one and it's a true black. Not some vintage or faded black like some other hats. I haven't been able to test the sweat bad as we're in cooler weather right now. The crown is very shallow meaning it sit's pretty high up on your head often referred to as low profile. If that's not your style then this isn't for you.
