is this dispenser weighted for one hand use? other dispensers on here claim this but arent weighted at all

I had to laugh when I read 2 of these answers. This dispenser weighs 16.07 oz. You absolutely CANNOT use this one handed unless your tape has no adhesive on it. This thing slides across the desk like a figure skater. I am thinking of drilling a hole in the backside then filling it with playbox sand in order to possibly add enough weight to allow one handed use (why I bought it).

does the black plastic top when closed lock in place . it willnot just swing open byits self whenturnede upside down i will modifie it to hang from a hook !

It will lock in. I can't explain how it lock in, only that when I turn it upside down the tape still stay in place.

Will this a work on a roll os 1 X 1296 scotch tape inch ?

This dispenser can fit tapes up to 3/4 inches wide, it will not work with a 1 inch wide roll. Thanks for asking!
