I bought this one to stop that. I have another 390 hooked up to print only checks and it has worked flawlessly for years. This newest 390 has the same ribbon catching problem, just not as often even though it does not have the tractor pins to catch the ribbon. It is printing thin two ply rear fed continuous paper while the check printer has 2 ply heavy paper. Why does one catch the ribbon and the other does not?
