It completely transformed the space and has been one of the best upgrades we’ve made, especially with a toddler running around. The 1/2” thickness provides a really nice amount of cushion. Our toddler is definitely accident-prone, so having a softer surface over the basement floor gives us some extra peace of mind when the inevitable trips and tumbles happen. It’s cushioned enough to soften falls and make sitting or playing on the floor much more comfortable, but it still feels firm and stable to walk on. Installation was surprisingly easy considering how large of an area we covered. The 24” x 24” tiles go down quickly, interlock nicely, and make it easy to customize the layout around the room. I also love that if one section ever gets damaged, we can replace individual tiles instead of having to redo the entire floor. The gray is neutral and looks much cleaner and more finished than I expected from interlocking foam flooring. It works especially well in a basement because it creates a comfortable, usable surface without the expense or commitment of installing permanent flooring. These are foam rather than heavy-duty rubber gym tiles, so I wouldn’t expect them to perform like commercial gym flooring under extremely heavy equipment. For a home gym, basement, kids’ play area, or multipurpose family space, though, they’ve been fantastic. After covering such a large area with them, I’m extremely happy with the quality and value. Between the cushioning, huge amount of coverage, easy installation, and added protection for our accident-prone toddler, they’ve been absolutely worth it. I would definitely buy them again. Review: Great quality - It's hard to write a product review when the delivery is 5 days and maybe more. I think desertcart does an amazing job with logistics but 5 days. Somebody should get demoted or the seller should be cancelled from selling on desertcart. If it's trucking company they should be penalized for two months for poor performance. Nothing will be done unfortunately. Update I change to 5 stars. I don't know how to leave a picture. My tracking data told me about 9!21 but the package came on 9/17 only 1 day late. The tracking data told me out for delivery yet the next data was still out of state at a distribution center. I wasn't sure what was happening. I had a 260 pound station bike in the middle of the living room ready for gym pads move to a permanent location. When I got the Matt's the were great. They looked good, performed well and there was good value for the money. I try to understand the logistics. Most of my merchandise comes on time in good shape. ## Features - Versatile Gym Flooring: 6-piece set of interlocking foam mats provides a padded, non-slip surface for exercise and workout routines; Ideal for home, garage, or basement use - User-Friendly Design: Easy to assemble and disassemble, these interlocking tiles create a seamless floor covering; Equipped with a moisture-proof technology that makes for easy cleaning with soap and water - Enhanced Safety and Comfort: Designed with a double-sided non-slip surface that resists slipping to avoid injuries and holds the mat in place during any exercise style allowing you to achieve the ideal form - Durable Construction: Crafted from 1/2-inch thick, high-density EVA foam that comfortably cushions your spine, hips, knees, and elbows on hard floors without worrying about body aches and muscle cramps - Trusted Quality: BalanceFrom offers a wide range of products that are designed to enhance your workout experience, providing excellent performance and durability ## Technical Specifications | Specification | Value | |---------------|-------| | ASIN | B013A4ATCQ | | Additional Features | Durable, Slip Resistant | | Best Sellers Rank | #2,039 in Sports & Outdoors ( See Top 100 in Sports & Outdoors ) #7 in Exercise Equipment Mats | | Brand | BalanceFrom | | Brand Name | BalanceFrom | | Color | Black | | Customer Reviews | 4.6 out of 5 stars 60,525 Reviews | | Global Trade Identification Number | 00855949005575 | | Included Components | 6 tiles^Each tile measures 24"x24"x1/2"^12 end borders | | Item Dimensions L x W x Thickness | 72"L x 48"W x 0.5"Th | | Item Highlight | Tiles for Home Gym, Mat for Home Workout Equipment, Floor Padding for Kids, Black, 24 in x 24 in x 1/2 in, 24 Sq Ft - 6 Tiles | | Item Thickness | 0.5 decimeters | | Item Type Name | BalanceFrom Puzzle Exercise Mat with EVA Foam Interlocking Tiles for Exercise, MMA, Gymnastics and Home Gym Protective Flooring | | Item Weight | 4 pounds | | Manufacturer | BalanceFrom | | Manufacturer Part Number | BFPM-01BLK | | Manufacturer Warranty Description | 2-year warranty. | | Material | Foam | | Material Type | Foam | | Material Type Free | Rubber Free, Plastic Free, Metal Free | | Model Number | BFPM-01BLK | | Number of Items | 1 | | Pattern | Solid | | Product Care Instructions | Water,Soap | | Room Type | Home Gym | | Shape | Square | | Special Feature | Durable, Slip Resistant | | UPC | 855949005575 | | Unit Count | 24 Square Feet | ## Product Details - **Brand:** BalanceFrom - **Color:** Black - **Material:** Foam - **Shape:** Square - **Special Feature:** Durable, Slip Resistant ## Images ![Puzzle Exercise Mat 1/2" Thick, EVA Interlocking Foam Floor - Image 1](https://m.media-amazon.com/images/I/81wLFf9JD0L.jpg) ## Available Options This product comes in different **Color, Style** options. ## Questions & Answers **Q: Will this product hold up while doing burpees and such. The ones I have now are very cheap and when I push off the interlock part seperates.** A: These are good to protects floors from barbell workouts, but they slip on (my) hardwood floors and separate with cardio movements like burpees. **Q: Can somebody tell me the room diemensions that this would fit** A: Ok, this is going to involve math. :) The tiles are two feet by two feet. That's 4 square feet, so take the number of square feet in the package, and divide by 4. The 96 square feet package, for example, is 96/4=24. Thus, there are 24 tiles in the 96 square foot package. Measure the length and width of your room. If you don't want to cut a tile, round the length *down* to the nearest two feet. If your room is 13 feet 7 inches, round down to 12 feet. Then, since each tile is two feet square, divide that by two. You'll be able to fit up to six tiles along that 13 foot 7 inch wall without cutting anything. Do the same for the other wall. If you can fit six tiles along one wall, and four tiles along the other, you can fit up to 24 tiles in the room without cutting. If you instead want to cut the edges off of some tiles and go full wall-to-wall, round *up* to the nearest even number instead. So, that 13 foot 7 wall would round up to 14 instead. The rest of the procedure is identical with the dividing by two, measuring the other wall, etc. **Q: Are these textured on both sides? Or is one side smooth?** A: It seems the answer depends on the thickness you buy. I bought the 96 square feet 3/4 inch thick one and it is textured on both sides. **Q: Would these work well for soundproofing? I live in an upstairs apartment, looking to workout without bothering my downstairs neighbors.** A: These are very good quality and think they would work well for you. ## Customer Reviews ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Covered our entire basement, perfect for a toddler play space! *by J***L on September 25, 2026* We ended up buying three boxes of these BalanceFrom foam tiles and were able to cover essentially our entire basement with them. Concrete is cold and uninviting so we got these mats for the floor. I saw some in Home Depot but they were more expensive and not to mention a lot thinner. My wife told me to check out Amazon instead and that’s where I came across these. You get more bang for your buck and they’re thicker. We got several packs in blue and it definitely livens things up. It’s very easy to set up, you just fit all the pieces together. There were a few corners that had to be trimmed but that wasn’t a big deal at all. We got the entire floor done in less than 30 minutes. All in all, a very good product. It does get dirty though and since our son likes sitting and playing on the floor, we make an effort to clean the mats regularly. We usually start by vacuuming the area, then we use a cleaner. We have a mop with a microfiber pad and that works great at accumulating all the gunk. The head swivels too so we can easily clean the corners and edges. It depends on our schedule but we usually mop it with cleaner every 2-3 days. Sometimes, if there’s just a small mess we’ll use plain water. Pros: 1) The foam mats don’t have any noticeable smell even when you take it out of the packaging. It was something that we were worried about at first but now it seems like that was unnecessary. 2) You can trim the mats easily with a pair of scissors. That’s what we did near the door since it needed a gap in order to close. You can probably also use a utility knife or something similar…the foam material isn’t that hard to cut through at all. 3) I kind of mentioned this earlier but these mats are much more affordable than what you can find in stores. We spent less than $50 for the basement area and that’s a deal. 4) They serve as a great insulator. Our son likes to run around and jump and these mats do a great job of absorbing it all. I’m so glad I didn’t go with the thinner ones from Home Depot. 5) We didn’t do this but you can easily create a checkered pattern if you purchase the mat in two colors. 6) The foam mats are very soft and comfortable to walk and play on. Cons: 1) The mats kind of get slippery if you’re wearing socks so we always tell our son to take them off before playing. Better safe than be sorry… 2) You have to play with the foam pieces a bit to line them up exactly the way you want for edges. 3) Sometimes the pieces will come apart when our son is running up and down. He actually fell down once beacuse of that but luckily he took it with stride. Now we always make sure to watch him when he’s playing. 4) There was a layer of dust/debris on the foam mats out of the packaging so we had to wipe them all down with a bit of water and soap before putting them together. I would recommend that you do the same. ## Frequently Bought Together - BalanceFrom Puzzle Exercise Mat with EVA Foam Interlocking Tiles for MMA, Exercise, Gymnastics and Home Gym Protective Flooring, Multiple Sizes and Colors - CAP Barbell Coated Dumbbell Weight | Multiple Options Pairs & Sets - Amazon Basics Flat Weight Bench, Black --- ## Why Shop on Desertcart? - 🛒 **Trusted by 1.3+ Million Shoppers** — Serving international shoppers since 2016 - 🌍 **Shop Globally** — Access 737+ million products across 21 categories - 💰 **No Hidden Fees** — All customs, duties, and taxes included in the price - 🔄 **15-Day Free Returns** — Hassle-free returns (30 days for PRO members) - 🔒 **Secure Payments** — Trusted payment options with buyer protection - ⭐ **TrustPilot Rated 4.5/5** — Based on 8,000+ happy customer reviews **Shop now:** [https://www.desertcart.com.sa/products/19320460-puzzle-exercise-mat-1-2-thick-eva-interlocking-foam-floor](https://www.desertcart.com.sa/products/19320460-puzzle-exercise-mat-1-2-thick-eva-interlocking-foam-floor) --- *Product available on Desertcart Saudi Arabia* *Store origin: SA* *Last updated: 2026-10-08*
