Review: Ghoul -ishly Entertaining - Storyline is nicely developing and at a good visual pace. Characters are becoming well rounded as the series continues to expand onto more volumes.
Review: Review of Tokyo Ghoul vol 3 - Ryoko, sigh. . . Ken's realizing that the ghoul's have emotions and feelings that are similar to humans. He's torn up by how Ryoko's mother died and how he couldn't have done anything to stop it. As Amon's torn from not saving his comrades, not to mention countless others. Amon takes deaths personally and feels the living, loved one's pain. So Mado's been in the investigation business for too long, he's insane. Ryoko's been hiding at Anteiku since her face was shown to the dove's. Mourning her mother's death Toaka tries cheering her up but to Toaka's distaste the girl only wants Kaneki. He's been teachering her how to read since she can't go to human schools. Toaka's also trying to get Kaneki in shape to fight, he insisted though I think he regrets it. He wants to be stronger and not as frail so as to protect others and himself. Still refusing to feast upon humans, even if they were suicide victums. Out of rage and want for revenge Toaka slaughtered a dove in an attempt to prove to Ryoko that her mother's being avenged only to find it worked in the opposite way. Amon, a Ghoul Investigator, is trying to find the girl along with Mayo. Amon's believed the way humans have, that ghouls must be destroyed, they're merely insects to dissect. Like many investigators he refuses to rest until all of them are taken down and held accountable for their "meals". Kaneki's brainwashed, human ways are shattering as he's finding out the opposite. That ghouls are no different than humans and they can FEEL the same emotions as humans. Wishing to save Ryoko Kaneki may have to relinquish to the ghoul inside of him. But can he hold back the animal that wishes to devour? What does the finished mask look like? Can Kaneki keep up his resistance to indulge in a "meal"? So many questions but you must read the book for the answers, and then be eager to read the next book for more answers. Very addicting! No romance scenes so cancel out sex for sure. Cursing is a thing in this series so expect it, and gore, of course. But again the gores blurred out by the motion of the characters. Though the ending scenes are a little creepy because of Mado. As I said he's gone insane but no spoilers here. Just read. Now tracking package . . . Tracking package. . . Man when's the fourth book going to be in my mailbox!

### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Not for children but and amazing read nonetheless
*by A***R on May 31, 2016*

Although on the kindle store the book is listed as ages 8-11 IT IS NOT. This is a very dark tragic story with violence and even human predation. (Humans being eaten by a natural predator). However that being said it is one of the best written manga that I have ever read. All of the characters have interesting and unique motives and backstories and there is not a single event or item that does not further the plot in some way. This is an amazing read however I will state again that it is generally for more mature audiences. If you or your child has issues with gore, torture, dismemberment, or any other aspects of a truly dark and brutal tragedy I recommend you pass this one by until you can deal with the darker elements. My age rating is 15 and up alone or 12 and with parental understanding as to what the child will be reading. If you are worried that your child will have issues I recommend reading the book for yourself and deciding from there. (although start with volume one of course http://www.amazon.com/Tokyo-Ghoul-Vol-Sui-Ishida/dp/1421580365?ie=UTF8&keywords=tokyo%20ghoul&qid=1464698753&ref_=sr_1_1&sr=8-1). Enjoy analyzing if there even truly is a good and evil in the world of ghouls and humans.
