I really like how the material is presented in this book. He assumes a background in CS for some of the topics, such as the examples in C, but he covers much of the material in a very easy, and not complete boring, manner. I'd definitely recommend it for someone interested in security in general as there are a wide variety of topics covered. The blockchain section, added with the second edition, is primarily information about how blockchain works.
