If you can fit two small bikes in the 72" length you would be alright but I believe it will not fit 3 bikes across. Keep in mind that the bikes don't stand up straight - they lean because of the kickstands. FYI I put a rubber matt on bottom to make sure the kick stands did not puncture the bottom. **Q: Any idea how this thing would hold up to neighborhood cats? I'm afraid they would scratch it open.** A: The material is extremely tough. So, unless you're storing catnip or some other hot item in the cat world inside the YS III, I doubt that cats would scratch one open. **Q: Do I need to buy a bike stand if my bikes don't have kickstands?** A: Yes and no. Why this answer if you do not have a kickstand and your Yardstash is up against a wall or fence then your bike can have something to lean against. If you do have a kickstand (in your case you do not have one) I would recommend put a something flat like a small piece a plywood between the stand and the floor of the Yardstash otherwise it could wear or pierce a hole and we don't want that to happen. There are self supporting bike stands in the suggestion list. **Q: What is the difference between this and the iii other than the top part which looks a bit different. mainly - any difference in fabric type?** A: The YardStash IV is constructed entirely of thick, heavy duty, rip proof, weatherproof and UV proof tarpaulin while the YardStash III features a tarpaulin roof and PVC lined polyester body.
