This would suffice against the elements and against surface scratches but nothing extreme. The value for money was good but BEWARE, if you are looking to buy this for a laptop or drawing tablet (in my case the latter) ensure you measure the DEVICE dimensions and not it's SCREEN, as this case fits 15.6' devices and not devices that have that screen size plus the thickness of the frame in addition.I bought this for my xp-pen 15.6' drawing tablet, which has that size screen + frame margins. Therefore this case does not fit the product. Having said that I feel like this is for the most part my fault and so I have reviewed this item on its own merits and if it would have been to size it would have been a good thickness (but not against massive shock, such as fall damage), definitely good water resistance due to the material, and good value for money.In conclusion, if your device measures 15.6' I would recommend this as a case for storage after use at home, for transport in a backpack, or as a standalone case but it has no handles or straps so you would need to carry under arm and be careful not to drop! If that's what you need though, a relatively good value case for basic protection then this case is perfect for that.
