But, they can work on the wii with the backwards compatibility software of the gamecube on the wii, what I mean, is that if you got a wii with the backwards compatibility, typically indicated by the gamecubes controller ports and memory card ports in the top of the wii normally hidden by 2 separate doors. If your wii has that, it's backwards compatible with the gamecube. If your hoping that you can use the gamecube controllers and memory cards with the native wii software and games itself, I don't even think you can, or, I'm not even sure myself if you can. **Q: Where does it plug into a Wii?** A: Well, some Wii's after a point didn't come with the direct gamecube port connectors after being produced for so long. If you find gamecube controller ports and memory card ports on the top of the console (assuming the console is standing vertically with the power button on top) typically hidden under 2 Separate doors, that indicates your console is backwards compatible with the gamecube.
