Berkley x9 Braid Fishing Line

I’ve always used the cheapest braid I could find, but had some issues with my line. I tried this braid and haven’t had an issue since. It’s incredibly smooth and I would definitely recommend it. It’s a bit pricier than I’m typically used to, but you should tie a leader to your braid anyway for abrasion resistance, to make the line harder to see in the water, and for all the other benefits it provides, both to protect your main line and to save money, especially if you run into picky fish.

Seldom have any problems with this braid. Casts well, durable, reliable. Only braid I use. The crystal is mostly invisible in the water, but I can see my line when finesse fishing too.

AMAZING LINE! Used for pickerel and bass. Topped with Shimano sierra 3000 and M rod. Only thing about this white line is it frays and dyes. Lightweight, far and easy casting. Small enough to put whole spool on reel. Value is top notch and abrasion is decent. Functions as good line for any reel. Don’t get white though.

Strength is fantastic. I haven't lost a lure yet. It casts well and if I do get a bird's-nest, it's easy to untangle. I don't think it's quite as invisible under water as they claim though.

After reading a lot of good reviews on this braid I decided to load my new Twin Power 4000 with it. I went with 20 pound white and …… I’m loving it! Smooth… thin… strong…casts a country mile. It’s everything the reviews said it was. This is probably the best braid I’ve used … worth every penny. I will be respooling other reels with X9 in the future.

This Berkley x9 braid has quickly become my go‑to line. Casting is smooth with minimal friction, even in windy conditions, and hooksets feel solid thanks to the low stretch and great sensitivity. It’s strong without being bulky on the reel, and I haven’t noticed any weird memory or twists after hours on the water. Whether I’m flipping cover, casting crankbaits, or throwing jigs, it performs consistently. Excellent value for the performance you get — definitely worth stocking up on.

Works like a charm. Used in freshwater and salt water, no discoloring, caught plenty of fish.

This is very castable line and it feels thinner than other 20lb test braid.

Very slick wire, casts and reels very smoothly. Item was as described. Resistance to abrasion is poor but as you would expect wire braided. Paid approximately the same price as local shop.
