Then I found these and got them. They are great and I recommend them. I have no trouble at all now putting elastic in my pants. It's hard to find pants that don't tie at the waist, and for me that is uncomfortable. So, I take out the string and put in elastic. This makes it much easier and quicker. For me, they work better on lighter materials then heavy ones, but I am also arthritic and that may make a difference. They are very durable and hold up great. I like the different colors that come in the package. I also liked that Amazon had a good variety to choose from. You can choose what you like and what would work best for you.
