A must have for designers who need a sturdy plastic cabinmate to house SMALL electrical components

Item worked as expected, cut the center of the back leaving about 3/4' around and put a hole through front cover to hold the rheostat. Then installed cover back on housing changed the screws to stainless. Installed a rheostat to control a freezer & refrigerator temp in a boat. Needed to cut the back out to allow installation because wires could not be cut. The housing is water resistant now and is stronger than original. This should handle the abuse from boat traffic bumping into it.

I don't require a large amount of water resistance but this should be more than enough. The seal material (included) easily goes into the grove and must be cut since it's bit too long. But the seal seems really good after getting all the bolts tightened down. I would use this again for anything similarly sized.

Great little abs enclosure, would have been nice to have a formed gasket instead of the piece of gasket you have to sit and fit yourself.

The walls of this enclosure are impressively thick - around .090" typical. It's a darn sturdy box! The lid has an integrated/recessed edge with an interior groove that fits the round silicone gasket material (included, trim to fit) The lid stays securely mounted with 4 screws that appear to be #8 and around .750" overall length. The mounting flanges are close to .250" thick and are radiused at the lead-in, where they run parallel perpendicular to the sides of the enclosure. Radii everywhere inside & out so as to lessen the chance of fracture. I used one of my enclosures to mount an external temp controller & control circuits for an industrial oven. It stands up to the ~200°F temperature it must exist in and the plastic is holding up just fine. A really nice weather/watertight enclosure that's handy for many uses - indoors & outdoors. I'm impressed by the sturdy design. Two thumbs up!

I need a waterproof box to install some additional power sources (usb plugs, military style screw on 12v connectors) on my UTV. Worked out perfectly.

This junction box seems okay. Just installed so jury is still out. Only time will tell if it does the job. It will be exposed to the elements pretty much continuously. The gasket is not continuous (has a joint), so always a possible leak there. But so far seems okay. Wish the sides were a little thicker though. I'm using this as a solar junction box on top of an RV.

A great unit box as I used it for power controls in truck bed, but I found water getting into unit around the seals, as my two holes I created into it was sealed tight with EPOXY. A really solid overall box..,..would buy it again if I need one.
