I want to change the 6500k to 3000k- will this work or will it dim it too much? Thanks** A: Not sure but I had to double mine to dim my light enough,definitely worth a try. **Q: Is it heat resistant?** A: Up to 96c or 205f yes, but as you get higher in temperature above these numbers the product will get soft and of course anything that gets hot enough may catch fire. We have not seen any consumer LED lights which get hotter than this yet. In some cases the back or rear of an LED light can get hotter but where you apply the LIGHTDIMS or WhiteDims does not get that hot. The easiest way to check if your light is not above 205f or 96c is to get a laser temp gun for about $25. A normal thermometer may work as well but could damage the thermometer. If you can put your hand on the light without getting burned or needing to remove it instantly then it is not above 205f. I originally got a very very bright daylight LED flood light with dual heads. I tried other fixtures but they did not mount and swivel like I wanted them to. So I ended up with a nicely mounted fixture but when I tried it, it was way too bright. I might add that the fixture I bought was also the most reasonably priced fixture.
