Review: Perfect overbox for my 40B Reef Tank - I got this overflow box for my 40B reef tank after getting some bad feedback about the EShopps Eclipse overflow boxes. The problem with the Eclipse is that the back of the box mounts too low so it's hard to eliminate noise. I had to drill a bit higher for this since I have a rimmed tank, but it wasn't too big of an adjustment. I have the older model, not the one pictured here. The designed has been improved since as the lid now sits flush to the box. With my gate value on my drain it was easy to adjust the water box in the box to make it completely silent. I love this box and the price is great compared to similar offerings. Fiji is a great company located in Minnesota. They make a lot of equipment for local fish stores in that area. I'm happy they are on desertcart now selling. You really should give them a try :).

**Q: What size bulkhead does this use for the hole on the aquarium itself? It states the drain bulkhead sizes but not sizes for the aquarium itself.**
A: They provide hole saw to install overflow.

**Q: Is there anywhere i can find the mounting template for this overflow box? i’m trying to see if it’ll match the holes in a synergy reef shadow**
A: I have not seen a template online. The holes on bottom fit 3/4" bulk heads and pvc. I believe the whole on the back with the mounting bulkhead is 1 3/8". My partner and I drilled our own hole for mounting based on the size of the bulkhead and hole on the back. The product does come with a glass cutting drill bit for making the correct size hole.

A: Not sure exactly size, I think its 2" however they do provide you with hole saw for the job.

**Q: Will the 2400gph model work on 3/4 inch thick tank walls?**
A: Yes it'll definitely fit

### ⭐⭐⭐ For Rimmed Tank Owners!!!

You will need an extra gasket for rimmed tanks and will more than likely need to file down the intake baffles if you want the water level above the top rim. Wish I knew that before, so I'm sharing it here. I installed on a 60 gallon breeder. Took the adjustments mentioned, but it works great as intended. Used the Mill to take off roughly 1/3 of an inch and it sits flush against the top trim, and I cannot put the cover on the intake. 3 star because this was defintely an oversight by Fiji or something they could communicate more in the listing.
