PRO1 IAQ T701i WIFI Thermostat

Review: Works well and easy to set up & use - I bought this to replace an existing Pro1 T701 thermostat in order to have the wifi feature. Because I was replacing an existing Pro1 thermostat, installation was a breeze. I just clicked the old thermostat off its base and clicked the new one on, with no rewiring required. If you are replacing a different brand of thermostat, rewiring will be required and this should be done by someone who knows what they are doing. Initial setup was clearly explained in the instructions and took about one minute. I do recommend reading the instructions as it is important that the settings be adjusted correctly. I downloaded the app from the app store. It took about five minutes to set up and it works great--I can turn the system on & off and adjust the temperature from anywhere using my phone. Initial setup of the app required following the in-app prompts closely, but once it is set up, it is simple and intuitive to use. You have to have home wifi in order to use the phone app. The thermostat itself is basic and easy to use. The display is large and easy to read and you can set the illumination to come on when you push a button or to stay on all the time. Note that this thermostat works for the following: heat only, cool only, and single stage heat-cool systems. It is compatible with gas heat, electric heat or heat pump. However, if you have a heat pump with emergency back-up heat, you will need a different model thermostat that works with 2-stage systems. It does not have battery power so you need to have a common wire (i.e. power supply from your system) for this to operate. It does have built-in memory, so if the power goes out, when the power comes back on the thermostat remembers its settings and comes back on however you had it set before the power went out.
Review: The Perfect WiFi Thermostat for what I needed! - This thermostat is perfect! I own a Vacation Home/Rental Property at the Colorado River. I can sign-in to this thermostat from my home 300 miles away and I can turn the A/C on or The Heater, so that when we travel there the house is nice and cool or cozy warm when we arrive. I can also, control the thermostat when I have a renter coming in and staying there for a weekend. This is a basic, hot and cold thermostat, it is easy for tenants to use because it isn't programmable (but through the on-line app you can set on & off times, so it can be programed). I had a little trouble wiring it in but I watched the tutorial on U-Tube and I was able to install it myself. I even got one for my next door neighbor and I helped him install it and he loves his new thermostat too! I highly recommend this product.

A: Yes , as long as you have WiFi at home

**Q: Can I adjust the temp up or down through the app on my phone?**
A: Yes , the temperature my be adjusted with the app. For some odd reason the temp set on app was not syncing with the thermostat . I logged off and then back on and problem solved .

**Q: What color are these?**
A: White like the picture. The display is blue.  Hope that helps.

**Q: Can it shut heat off and on with the app. I want to put in a garage that I don't heat constantly.**
A: Yes you can turn it on and off via the app.

### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ Great product

Wow, I'm really not sure why some people rate these so poorly, I really like them. I have 3 of these between my home and lake property and they have been simply great. Sure the app is fairly low tech, but sometimes simpler is better. My only reason for a 4 star rating versus 5 is because high/low temp notification alerts are advertised but I haven't seen them in the app.
