In honor of Me Against The World's 25th anniversary, Interscope/Urban Legends is reissuing 2Pac's third studio album, considered by many to be his most poetic and cohesive masterpiece. Recorded when he was just 23-years-old, and released while facing an impending prison sentence, it is a lyrical tour-de-force that touches on the issues of poverty and violence. The album solidified 2Pac as one of the greatest rappers of all time. Includes standout anthems like `Temptations' and `So Many Tears.' Review: Very nice - Love it! Got it for looks I’ll never open it but it’s very nice for the price Review: A classic in every sense. - Personally, I don't identify with a lot of rap today, and at times the mainstream is unlistenable garbage. This is not that. This is 2Pac at the height of his game. Along with AEoM this presents two of the greatest rap albums ever made. A decidedly less gangsta version of Eyez, this one has a tragic yet wise feel to it that I almost wish he would have stuck with. Though I think Eyez probably has the better hits, it feels like this is the album I would recommend to people just getting into 2Pac. You can't deny some of the more than solid surrounding pieces like Old School, and the hits like Dear Mama and the title track are as good as they always were. Temptations, Can U Get Away, and a few others round out the exceptional package and kind of hint at his future demise, sadly. What is there is something everyone should at least try to listen to once, and thus this receives my highest recommendation.

"2nd 2 None"
"Back in elementary, I strived on misery...left me alone I grew up amongst a dying breed". Immortal words of an immortal soul. What 2Pac brought to the "rap game" was unquestionable, and definitely undeniable. The difference between a "Lyricist & an MC" is methodology. 2Pac had the ability to combine both art forms into one technique, which is what made him a unique artist. 2Pac or (Pac) as we called him on the Westcoast,...was the opposite of 'Jekyll & Hyde!" in other words, he could administer surgical precision on paper,...and literally become a monster on the mic. 'Me Against The World; was his third studio album, a follow-up to (Strictly for my N.I.G.G.A.Z.). MATW was a more somber, tempered album... 2Pac's approach was "methodically mature" this time around, and it shows in his words & flow. This album is a must-have for any rap fan, but it is a must if you're a (2Pac) fan. Even with a half-way decent record player, this album is 'top-quality', Pressed to perfection, and delivers on the audio. I will always be an immortal "fan and critic" of (2Pac), and there is a heaven for a 'G'.

Great album and great gift to a friend
I gift this to a friend. So glad physical copies are somewhat still around in this tech world. Because this is something my friend always wanted to own.
