The 360 is EXTREMELY loud if it's running games from DVD. If you install them to the hard drive first, it's vastly quieter. Games can also load faster from hard drive, and some games essentially require it, or are missing chunks of the game if you don't have a hard drive, like may have a disc you need to install first before running from the first disc.This 4GB model exists only to trick people into thinking the system is a bit cheaper than it really is.
