**Q: Can the stud be removed and replaced with a bolt or different stud?**
A: Not likely without more work and expense than it's worth.  The bolt and swivel ball are machined from one piece. The mirror would have to be removed from the frame to remove the swivel bolt and then a different bolt could be welded to the swivel ball.  Better to find a mirror with a mounting tab and hole.

**Q: Will the 1/4" stud unscrew to replace with a bolt or different stud?**
A: No.  The mirror would have to be removed from the frame and then the swivel bolt could be removed but better to find a mirror with a mounting tab with a hole for a bolt.

**Q: Does it come in black?**
A: no

I ordered two of these mirrors as replacement wing mirrors for a 1954 MG Convertible replica. The chrome look was important to me, and I honestly expected to pay a lot more than this. The first stand-out success with this order was how quickly they arrived. I'm in New Zealand, think, about as far away as you can get without being off the planet - and they arrived in about a week.To be fair, they probably should have been better packaged than they were, but they arrived safely nevertheless. The mirrors were exactly as described in the ad, and the ad had a nice detailed diagram which turned out to be accurate. They appear to be well made and nice and solid. The swivel device on the back is nice and firm so I don't expect the mirror will move accidentally once the position has been set. There are three lock screws around the swivel that I think should work well for adjusting the firmness of the swivel if it proves to be too firm. Glass is clear and clean and flat and has a rubber seal around the edge. Only time will tell if the seal stands up to New Zealand wind and rain conditions, but it looks well made, so I'm sure it will be fine. Mike.
