You see, I had ordered another tray for a buddy of mine for his birthday. I believe it was a glass or Lucite ashtray. Something in a square smoke colored tray. That one was heavy and had a perfect weight to it. This one, not so much. Yes, it’s beautiful. It’s solid black with beautiful gold writing. But I would be remised if I didn’t say I was disappointed. The tray arrived nicely packaged by Amazon along with a few other items I ordered all in the same box. I was really excited about this particular item, but was disappointed when I felt the weight of the tray. It’s hollow and you can certainly tell. I was hoping it would be somewhat of a decent weight, but it’s not. I think the description says it’s about 1lb to 1lb and a half. Thanks Mike's cigars, Padron and Amazon. Shipping was a little high but this is a fragile item and the ashtray price itself was rebated significantly compared to other cigar sites so I am happy. Padron Ashtrays are generally more expensive. You can get a knock off of this ashtray at Thompson Cigar for $24.95 plus shipping costs so that is potentially a $5 cost savings compared this one.
