Review: 5+ Come back to me Stars! Absolute perfection. Tragic, beautiful and a story that came to life. - When Bree shows up in the Pelion, Maine it was supposed to be just a stop on her ‘road trip of recovery.’ Escaping the tragedy was her way of trying to outrun the nightmares, finding Archer Hale ended up giving her peace that she thought had escaped her. Archer Hale was just seven years old when he lost everything including his voice. Now a grown man, living in complete isolation in a town that his bloodline founded. A moment of clumsiness brings a little bit of noise to his silent world as he meets Bree. Bree isn’t able to let go of the curiosity, after a few inquiries in town Bree learns that Archer has always just been tucked away in the shadows of the town. But when she stumbles upon an open gate that leads her to him, she can’t seem to stay away. With her father being hearing impaired, she is able to sign, giving Archer a voice for the first time in years. And in the silence she falls for a man that no one paid any attention to. The man that was once a broken boy that was let down by an entire town. Archer isn’t equipped to be social. He’s locked himself away and Bree is slowly coaxing him out little by little. He’s had to live his life and his experiences without the ability to ever really understand them. Finding Bree attractive, understanding his reaction to her and understanding that she was reacting the same way... that moment was beautifully awkward and was just a wee bit heartbreaking; realizing that something as simple as being able to experience that was lost to him until that moment. As Bree attempts to bring him out into the public, to start living again he comes face to face with the ugliness of some people. There was zero redemption for Travis, for me. That club scene and the little comments here and there... did me in. My heart was breaking in these moments for Bree, but most of all for Archer because no matter how old he was, part of him was still that seven year old little boy and his pain kept him from knowing anything beyond that. Bree didn’t just wake something in this beautiful man, she brought life to him. Her love gave him strength, but he needed more. He needed to find his own strength and his own worthiness, if he was ever going to be able to give Bree an ounce of what she gave him, he had to find a way to do that. Because for the first time he had a reason to risk suffering the possibility of loving someone and the pain that it would cause if he ever lost it. Archer’s Voice was a fantastically written love story. It was beautifully tragic and was one of those stories that cuts you deep. Beyond just how well written this was, it moved you. It was a book you felt more so than you read, and it was not one that just let your emotions simmer, you boiled over. Whether it was moments when your heart was so full it could burst or those moments when you felt like someone had just torn your heart out of your chest. You. Felt. It. There are times when you stumble across a book and the way the author is able to tell their story is all encompassing, you don’t just read it, you breathe it... it’s like a movie is playing in your head, this is that kind of book. It’s one that carries a message and has the ability to make you look twice at something you might not have given a second glance to the day before. The way these two were both so broken, but yet wanted nothing more than to fix each other – even when they weren’t fully able to fix themselves. Sacrifice, love and beyond everything else, just seeing the other person and giving them a sense of worth – a feeling that they matter, even if it is just to that other person. Mia Sheridan did an exceptional job showcasing these characters and creating a story that flowed perfectly and was so much bigger than just what she created on these pages. She gave life to this book and as a reader there is no greater gift an author can give than giving you a piece of themselves that extends so far beyond typed words. After this experience, I can’t wait to read the other titles in this series and to let her be my guide on this journey.
Review: deeply emotional and beautifully written - This is a deeply emotional and beautifully written romance that pulls at your heart from the very first page. Mia Sheridan does an incredible job creating characters who feel real and vulnerable, and the connection between Archer and Bree is slow burning, heartfelt, and captivating. The story tackles themes of trauma, healing, and second chances in a way that’s both moving and believable.

### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Absolute must read!! Fantastic, beautiful and brilliant!
*by V***. on February 27, 2014*

Archer’s Voice deserves praise and recognition and should be read by everyone. It is by far one of the best books I have ever read!! To say that Mia Sheridan is a talented author is an understatement. Archer’s Voice is brilliant. It is perfection. It is writing at its finest. Bree, Archer and their story are just beautiful, beautiful, beautiful. And yes. It deserves all that. Bree moves to a new town, trying to start over after experiencing tragedy in her life. Shortly after moving in, she bumps into Archer one day in a parking lot while in town. As her bundles tumble to the street and he helps her pick them up, she feels drawn to him for some reason. She rambles on to him and he only looks at her but he does not respond. He then turns and walks away. Wanting to know more about Archer, Bree asks around about him. She learns who he is and what people think about him and doesn’t exactly hear the most positive things but decides that is not going to keep her away. And so it begins- one of the sweetest, most heartfelt stories I have ever read. Watching the friendship and relationship that grows between Bree and Archer is beautiful and touching. Archer’s Voice made me smile, it made me laugh, it made me sigh. And it actually made me cry- not an easy feat considering that has only happened once ever while I was reading a book. “Do you feel that? This is how you affect me. My heart is pounding, because I want you to kiss me so badly that I can barely breathe.” Watching Archer- a man who has spent his life with no friends, no love, no attention, no one- open up and trust Bree even though it isn’t always easy at times is beautiful. And the way Bree is there for him- unconditionally- to show him love, what it’s like to be cared about, that he is worthy of a life and love, that he is a real person. Sigh. And the sex scenes were hot. Very hot. But they were more than that. They were romantic, tender and loving. Bree and Archer were just meant for each other. Some of my favorite lines: “More light shines out of those who have the most cracks.” “You are a real person Archer. You’re the best person I know.” “Loving you isn’t a burden. Loving you is an honor and a joy, Archer.” And the part of the story with “I Bree you.” absolutely took my breath away. Thank you Mia. For bringing us this beautiful story, for letting us know Bree and Archer, and for sharing your talent with us. You are an amazing writer. Archer’s voice will stay with me for a very long time. I am so happy we got to meet in person a few months ago! And I am off to go read your other books!! Every single one. Yeah, you’ve gained a big fan here. For more reviews, go to [...]
