I used it with a 30 vol developer and a little conditioner stirred in to dilute it for hair damage prevention purposes, and I'm not disappointed. I was bleaching out black, so I did have to use it twice in order to get the color out, but it worked very well. It went from black to a very nice brown (which was perfect bcs I was going ginger but my dye was a little bright, so I needed a darker color to contrast that.) This has been my go-to for a while now because it’s always a consistent quality. Other powders don’t lift nearly as well as this one. It definitely lifts at least 4-5 levels. It’s also best to cover your bleached parts with hair foil or syran wrap because when this bleach dries, it no longer lifts. So covering your bleached parts with foil or wrap can help keep the bleach activated longer, thus lifting more for a brighter blonde. Also keep in mind you will still need a toner (but that goes for any powder lightener). Any powder bleach will lighten your hair but in order to get the brassy/unwanted tones out, you HAVE to tone your hair afterwards.
