Vallejo - Liquid Mask, Effect Medium for Acrylic Painting, 2.87 Fl. Oz.

This stuff is great, Ive tried a few others that regularly peeled the paint off and because I've always had good luck with the Vallejo products decided to try it over the other top rated ones for miniatures. I've never had a hard time peeling it off. Even accidentally getting on fur and fine details with tight, deep patterns I was really surprised it just came off in one, long peel. I can only imagine the layers were too thin with those who experienced otherwise. It dries quite fast. I'm not very patient so was very pleased with how quickly I could layer it on and start painting. I've left it on for 30mins (60mins after application) and 3 days but was the same effort of removal. I just used the backside of my hobby knife to get an edge lifted so I can grab it. Really great stuff. Safe on dried paint even without a clear coat. Saved tons of effort.

yes! Goes on smoothe in one coat and rubs/peels off incredibly easily. No tears and no staining on white Watercolor paper. I've been using it pretty constantly since I got it and I would buy it again.

Liquid Mask, how did I ever airbrush without you before ! This is an amazing product. Dried fairly quickly depending on thickness of the coat. The effectiveness is just chefs kiss. I was hesitant using it the first time but I used my airbrush as usual. The coverage, even though some of the areas were thinly coated was great, I peeled it after finishing rather easily. The model underneath was pristine. I will def be buying more to make sure I always have some on hand. It’s a must buy

I am slightly new to masking fluid, and I only use it on paper for watercolor or gouache paint. But I am very happy with this masking fluid. I tried applying the fluid with a dip pen, and a paintbrush, and both worked perfectly. I feel like the mask had good coverage even in thin layers. I am very impressed with this. It was very easy to rub off with a little finger pressure, but it also felt secure enough for me to rest my hand on while painting without ruining the mask. Just make sure everything is completely dry while applying, and then when removing. And don’t leave the container open for too long, it dries within a few minutes. I like to pour a little bit of fluid in a shot glass to use and then seal up the rest of the bottle until i need it again. I feel like this will last me for many paintings too, so the price is very affordable. I did see a bit of paper tearing in a spot when I dropped a big thick splatter of masking fluid by accident, but it didn’t destroy the paper. Just a thin layer of paper came up. I could fix it easily with a bit of white paint. Overall very impressed and happy with this product for my watercolor art! 👍 I will say it stinks though, smells like a horse barn when wet, but it’s not overpowering and it doesn’t linger when it’s dry. For the video, I did a random test page with the dip pen and a brush, and the removal of the masking fluid was very easy and the lines were very crisp. I used a lot of water and paint on the page, waited for everything to dry and the masking fluid came off easily.

Was unsure about this stuff, but it works! Used it to mask areas on a rather complex piece. A bit hard to get off of intricate pieces, but works well

This has been one of the best things I've added to my airbrushing. I still use silly putty for things, but this mask is way better for detail. You just paint it on, let it dry, and when your done, peal it off.

Never knew this product even existed until I wanted to paint this dog found in a thrift store. He was a beat up brown and I wanted him gold. He has the most beautiful eyes and I didn’t want to ruin them. Used this product and it worked wonderfully. Easy to use, just applied with a tiny brush. Easy to remove too. Dried quickly and I didn’t notice any odor.

Works great. Dries quicker than expected, 5 minutes vs 10-30, but that's a good thing. I tried small paint brushes, but found that a Cotton-Tipped Applicator (medical q-tip) worked best to apply it. Peeled right off, no residue.
