Review: Absolutely love this smart blind! - The custom measurements were spot on and the fit is perfect. I ordered the 'coffee' color and it looks exactly like the photos, very clean and high-end. It blocks the light perfect. I installed it like 6 months months ago and it’s still working flawlessly, no issues with the motor or the hardware. I chose the Alexa-compatible motor because I have Alexa at home, and at first I thought something was wrong because it wouldn’t respond. It turns out you must have at least one remote to set everything up before Alexa control will work. I hadn’t ordered a remote, so I assumed the blind was defective and contacted customer service. They replied quickly, were very helpful, and we realized it was my mistake for not adding a remote to the order. Once I got the remote and did the initial setup, everything made sense. Honestly, the remote is so convenient that I just use that now instead of Alexa. If you’re ordering the Alexa motor, make sure you also order at least one remote from the beginning so you don’t run into the same confusion I did. Overall, I’m really grateful everything turned out so well. A professional blind company would have charged me a lot more for product and installation, but I was able to install this myself without any problems. Highly recommend!!
Review: Very happy with these! - The price increases quickly as you add your measurements, which made me pause, but happy I pulled the trigger. I got two of them, one with a left charger and one with right, sized for outer install, so custom sized. The packaging looked like it was made specifically for my order - even the box size. I was kind of surprised by that. The install couldn't have been easier. The remote was already programmed for both of them. The only thing I had to do was program the top and bottom stop points, which took me a few minutes to get the hang of, but once I actually read the manual, it was easy. Both were easily discovered by Alexa. Two points to keep in mind. You need somewhat newer echo devices (2nd gen echo plus, 4th gen echo dot, etc.). These do not use wifi that use account pairing like some other devices (switches, lights, etc.). These are directly discovered by Echo using zigbee, which in the end is a lot easier, but you need the echo device or a hub. The other point is that although you can set a "favorite" position, using the remote, you can only tell each one individually to go to that position - not both/all at the same time, like you can with full up or full down. I was easily able to work around that with Alexa, which allows you tell them to go to any percentage position you want. Since my "favorite" was 50%, I was able to create a routine that did what I wanted. Also, there's no outlet plug with the USB charging cord. I had several floating around the house, so that wasn't a big deal, but I was surprised that the charging cord was just the USB cord - the magnetic USB-C end was a nice touch, though. All in all, I'm very happy with these and would recommend this company to anyone looking for these types of shades.

### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Automated affordable blinds

I wanted some new blinds for our bedroom with blackout material to let us sleep in on weekends, but automatically wake us up in the morning with sunlight during the work week. The material does a great job of blocking out light, but the sun rises facing the bedroom so there is a good deal of light bleed around the sides. If I were to order again, I would have gone about 1.5" wider (outside mount) so that the edges would extend further and reduce some of the light bleed. These have about .5" gap on each side, which I knew about when I ordered but thought it would look funny if the valence were wider than my windows. I have these integrated with Home Assistant using Zigbee and there are some quirks to work around. The biggest issue is the up/down arrows in HA don't always reflect the current status of the blind, so it will think the blind is lowered when it isn't (or vice versa). Fortunately, the blinds will do what they are supposed to if you send them an open/close command directly (I created a scene to open/close both blinds at same time, and call that from automations and as a button on main screen). The only major issue I had was on arrival the endpoints were set incorrectly from the factory. When I hit the close button the motor tried to pull the shade inside the valance and pinned itself against the mount, which stretched the thin fabric out a bit at the bottom. Luckily I had the remote in hand and quickly hit the stop button. If you are reading this and are about to order these blinds, I highly suggest you set the endpoints before trying to close or open them. Luckily Graywind support responded quickly to my issue, sent me the info needed to reset the blinds and create the new endpoints. I will say the programming process on these blinds is really fiddly, and requires precise timing and following an exact sequence which took me more attempts than I want to admit, and requires the remote (and a hidden button under the back cover). I would recommend these, I know there are other more well known brands but they cost 2x-3x more and probably arent any better. The Zigbee was the biggest reason I purchased these, because I prefer to be fully in control of my home automation devices. Wifi connected devices are subject to the whim of whatever company you buy them from, and if they decide its not profitable to continue supporting something the device becomes useless.
