First off, I saved a thousand dollars - YAY! Love my ATS but the fact that Cadillac hasn't stepped up to remedy the unacceptable, ridiculous and MAJOR flaw in their CUE screens is utterly frustrating and disappointing. Even if they stepped up to offer a "screen only" replacement at cost - as it seems is the remedy to CUE screens that have a mind of their own, crack or eventually don't respond to any kind of touch, it would feel like they truly cared about brand integrity and loyalty. Cadillac's silence on this well documented and common issue is deafening. Now for the screen. Product came well packed and protected, although it is curious that the box was completely unsealed and not in a shipping envelope, which would allow anyone access to the contents. Having said that, every thing was intact and ready for installation, which let me WARN YOU can be very tricky. I would consider myself tech savvy, although not an electrical engineer, and I can say the installation would be very challenging for someone with very basic to no technical skills. Difficultly scale 7 out of 10. Even when referencing some very clear video instructions on YouTube, you had better be taking very clear notes and keeping every step and screw well documented. The tools needed are relatively basic but even if your fully prepared as I was, there were two critical screws on the units back cover that were absolutely fused in place by the factory, this made it almost impossible to continue installation. I wont even discuss - let alone recommend - how I managed to sidestep this major obstacle as it could result in significant damage to the housing and potentially to the electronics inside if your not very careful. A quick note on avoiding damaging/scratching your cars interior chrome trim, plastic and the CUE unit. Whenever I was working with sharp tools - i.e. screw drivers - anywhere near a shiny cosmetic surface, I covered it with blue painters tape to avoid marring. And when handling the CUE unit itself, I set it on, or held it with, a micro-cloth. Also to avoid finger prints and or dust on the interior surface of the screen DO NOT remove the protective plastic until you're ready to finalize installation. I also left the outside plastic on until the until was fully installed. Although the replacement screen seated perfectly, screwing into place was a challenge without stripping the screw heads. The screw holes on the replacement screen were VERY tight, so I resorted to reaming them out slightly with a tiny flathead screwdriver to avoid striping. NOTE. Be sure a newer replacement CUE system wasn't installed in your car, if this is the case the replacement screen will not function. SEE PHOTO Despite a couple very tricky obstacles that turned a one and a half hour job into two plus, the replacement CUE screen works like a dream and as advertised. I put it through it paces, it's perfectly responsive and the display looks spot on - what a relief and what savings.

Screen was frozen. Started with apps moving and radio stations changing like there was a ghost in the car. A few months later and it is frozen. Cadillac wanted $1500 and wanted to replace the whole cue unit. Turns out, the screens are notorious for drying out. I purchased this, watched several you tube videos. Then I did it myself. It took my about 90 minutes. I am not a mechanic. Just a smart woman. It works perfectly now, it's been over a week.

Box was not secure, not taped. Removal and installation relatively easy after watching another providers video. Installed and had power but touch screen did not work. checked all connections and reinstalled 3 times. Removed and put my original screen back in module and it worked. Kit needs to include tweezers. Caution to self installers: be sure and watch your battery use. I drained my battery, but I did try it 3 times before giving up on this product.

I did not personally change the screen my husband did. He said it wasn't the easiest job but it also wasn't really difficult. It just time and patience. I bought my car with a cracked screen which we later found out was a common problem with this model of car. Someone told us it would be up to 2000.00 to fix it. We thought we would try this first and it worked great. It looks great and functions like it just came from the dealership.

Their YouTube made it waaaay easier than doing it blind. Let's be real the quality is better than the OEM junk. I was so happy with the results! Didn't break anything. Took us about 2 hours. It's much easier with a second set of hands. Make sure to label or group the screws/bolts you remove makes reassembly easy. Super happy! My screen was literally unusable it would skip all over the place and not allow me to even turn my ac on. I have my peace of mind again. Great product. But this product with your money it works.

Touch screen ordered was a perfect fit for our Cadillac SRX 2015. A bit difficult to install, just don’t get in a hurry. YouTube videos help if you watch and listen but they skip some steps. Unfortunately, even though we checked the screen clarity before instillation, the light behind it, once installed, revealed three or four small bubble-like blemishes on the back side of it or within the two layers of the viewing surface. After three hours of work my husband and I decided we will just have to live with it!! All touch screen functions work perfectly now. And, we didn’t have to pay our local dealership $12-$1400.00 (Please carefully remove protective clear sheet only when ready to install.)

Screen has been working flawlessly for two months, will update if it fails. Pretty intense taking interior apart but there are several good videos out there that will show the way. Recommend having video up on viewing device in car while accomplishing task for reference. Also, take pictures before each step for assistance during reinstallation. This is not too difficult for most people..

Screen didn't work BUT after buying another screen replacement from a competitor that also didn't work I found out that my 2015 SRX was updated to a v2018 Cue before I bought it. So I was buying the wrong replacement the whole time. Save yourself the headache and save your time and money by checking your Cue model before buying. Look online for the difference between the two models before buying a replacement. I would give 5 stars but I'm still waiting for my refund two weeks later...
