Hozelock Tuffhoze

If you’re used to those heavy, rigid PVC hoses that we’ve all struggled with for years, this is a total revelation. The Tuffhoze is in a completely different league. The best part is that it isn’t one of those "expanding" hoses that feels like a balloon; it stays a solid 35m but uses a woven Tuff-Fibre skin that makes it incredibly light and easy to manage. Unlike the old-fashioned plastic ones, this actually stays flexible and won't kink into a folded mess while you're trying to reach the end of the garden. Why it’s worth it: Genuinely Kink-Free: It’s the first hose I’ve used that doesn't "choke" the water flow the second you round a corner. Tough as Boots: It glides over paving and gravel without snagging or scuffing. Pressure Washer Compatible: It handles high pressure (up to 40 bar) perfectly, making it ideal for cleaning the car or the patio. These hoses are pretty tough..I've had one fir several years. Not cheap but better than the expanding things that dont last 5 minutes. I've just purchased another one as an extension so can't be that bad. I think the joints behind the connectors could/should be better for the price otherwise would be 5*. Very tough and doesn't curl rip leak or tangle

Love these, but this is the third one on these that I have owned and the pipe has spilt. TUFF-Fibre is just not true, very disappointing.

Product arrived on time, no assembly needed as all the bits were attached. Have purchased a few other expanding hose pipes before but they maybe only last a summer if lucky. The quality of this is far superior and is accurate to the length stated (previous purchases were 10ft off the claimed length) Not really a negative point, but it is quite heavy, but wouldn’t let that put you off from buying. Own several hozelock products and the quality is always very good! UPDATE Less than a year after buying it, it has developed a leak! Stored it in a tote in the garage over winter, and used it for the first time this year, and it has a puncture! Hozelock redirected me to Amazon as it had been less than a year, and Amazon customer service was first class and issued a refund. Won’t buy another expandable hose as even with this Tuffhoze, it hasn’t lasted a year, even with careful storage, and only ever used in the garden over grass (as opposed to a driveway or dragged over gravel etc!)

I've had the hose for a year now which was stored over winter in a shed. I've had no issues with leakage so far. The hose is lightweight and very easy to handle and when pressurised before use, any kinks come out very easily. More so than when using a traditional hosepipe. It is much easier to coil up when storing for example. The outer material does fray slightly when dragged across the patio / blocks but hasn't come anywhere near to wearing away to the enclosed pipe.

It’s great while it lasts, but split for no obvious reason after just two years of careful use.
