Pilgrim's Progress: Marvel Comics (Christian Classics Series) Review: Loved by my 9year old son, classic must have! - My 9 year old son loved this book and has read it multiple times. It’s a great find for kids and teens to digest the wonderful story of the pilgrims progress which is loved by millions! 😍 Review: Childhood classic - just as described - This product came quickly and just as described - Very good condition! I grew up reading this graphic novel and would just sit and soak up the illustrations, which are both vibrant and beautifully drawn. You wont find a better retelling of the story! For a graphic novel, it doesnt lose the seriousness of the story, but rather adds to it with emotional imagery. As for the the person who thinks that Wisdom is the devil - I would have to disagree. Although this particular conversation is a little odd (looking at it from a theological perspective), in my opinion, the mother (Christiana) simply needed to have wisdom to understand that her husband had made the right decision and that she must follow. You could say Wisdom is an imbodiment of the actual wisdom God gave Christiana. She was accompanied by Mercy and still walked the straight and narrow road to get to heaven.

Helpful for Real Life Battlefields
Positive and Negative: Negative first... I will say that, if you're not used to comics, and have been brought up more conservatively than some, you may find the book to be more sexual than you might expect. There is a good deal of cleavage and tight clothing throughout. In our pornographic society, this may be more unnoticeable than in the past, but it may affect little eyes. Even the armor worn by Great Heart consists of prominent yellowish-gold across the breasts. But you know what? If that's what your heart focuses on, this book will not likely be the first resource to draw it out! Positive last... I really like this comic book because it shows that sin--in whatever form it arises--appears enticing, but there is stark contrast from initial appearance to the devils/demons/wickedness of the human heart which lurks beneath. The bodily transformation of Christian, the division of "wheat and tares" when Iggy shows up unexpectedly, the necessary violence against sin, etc. are great reminders that our fight is not against "flesh and blood," and the gate and the road are, indeed, narrower than most teach today!

Great Adaptation
Very nice adaptation from the book to the comic. Keeps the main themes and is very well done. I would recommend it to anyone looking for an accurate re-telling of this classic story!

Classic must own
I read this a thousand times when I was a kid. If you enjoy the book The Pilgrim's Progress, this comic is a fun way to bring to life the scenes from the book. I will say some of the images might be disturbing to little ones, but if you have kids that are into comics this is a great buy.
