We tried to look for something within our budget, and this Venloic tower speaker was a great deal at the time. It did exceed our expectations. The package is typical of a large electronics. The package includes the tower speaker, the wooden base, a remote, and user manual. The first thing that caught my attention is the wood finish. It is very nicely done. I prefer wood for speaker cases because it provides better acoustics than plastic. One thing I didn’t like is that I have to do a little assembly to screw the base to the speaker, but that is just very minor. Setup and operation is very easy, I didn’t even have to read the manual. My iPhone and iPad connected easily via Bluetooth. The first songs that I played sounded a little muddy, and my wife noticed it too. Having a lot of experience with speakers, I know this is normal on first use. The speakers needed a little burning in. There are a lot of burn in sounds/music in in the web, and I have played it continuously for a couple of hours. After the burn in, the audio has more clarity and sounded smoother.
