Review: Very detailed - With an upcoming trip to Turkey, this book has been very informative. We have things pre planned so that there are no surprises, but this still gives a lot of good insight on what to expect & other things to do.

Good travel guide.
Planning a trip to another country that you know little about is always a challenge. Lonely Planet Turkey guide has really helped me learn about the country, where things are, what to do and not do. It has a fold-out map of Istanbul, which is helpful. The reason for 4 stars is that it doesn't have a foldout map of all of Turkey. That would have made the book perfect.

So much to learn in here.
I am studying this book to prepare for a trip to Turkey one year from now. I think if I really understood everything in this book I would be qualified to lead tours, not just plan my own. There is so much in here, history, politics, language, places to go and what to expect. It is a bit over whelming but I'm still on it.

This is one of the best to get you ready for the trip.
Quite heavy to travel with you especially if you do not wantro see all Turkey but this book is overall well-written and received five star rating from me. Well done.

Good except prices
As usual, LP gave us great info on our destination and good ideas of what to see. However, due to extreme inflation in Turkey, the prices in this edition are garbage. No fault of LP - but just beware if you are using it.

The best guidebooks around
As long as you accept that some things change after publication (eg. prices - especially in Turkey at the time of writing) there is no problem with using Lonely Planet's guides. This one, as ever, helped me navigate around Istanbul and the rest of Turkey with ease.

Poor quality
The pages were of poor quality and the book was delivered with some physical damage. Since it is an expensive book, better quality is expected

Desactualizada
La version es de 2022 y los precios en turquia han subido mucho. La guia no es util en terminos de referencias de precios ni de alojamiento ni de restaurante ni de acceso a sitios
