If i am going to spend 1000 plus I need to know its durability.** A: It's worth it. Love my tablet. I have the surface pro 3 and I have had it for 7 years now. Still strong, it just can't handle all the school work I have to do on it because it is old now at this point. I have the base surface pro 3 specs; 128gigs, i5 and 4 Gigs of RAM. Now, it was so much money (and it still is for buying a a good computer in general) to drop on a computer, so you want it to work well. For starters, when you buy it, get a protection plan or extended warranty, whatever it comes with. Seriously. I got really lucky that I did not have a single issue with my tablet since the day I got it. But since I didn't get the plan, cause at the moment I was already spent a lot of money, so I figured it would be an "oh, well" kind of situation. If my tablet did die on me then I better hope that it would be during my manufacturing warranty time interval haha  not smart, don't do that! SO, the point here is, get the protection plan! What I did to compensate for me not getting a protection plan was, I got a screen protector and a durable shock protection case for it. I'd recommend getting all of those things at the same time if you do get the tablet. I bought the protector for the screen and tablet itself at separate times, but I waited until I got all of them to fully use my tablet. So, I was super cautious, this tablet was about 1500 when it came out, I drop it like a moron once, then I'm totally screwed. The only thing I have ever had to replace was the keyboard it originally came with, it was just so worn out and unresponsive, and the charger block. Finding those two things on here was the solution and because I was cautious with my tablet from day one, replacing those the keyboard and block made it seem like my tablet was brand new again. AGAIN though,  buy the warranty extension or protection it comes with. I may have been careful with it since day one, and it might be in pristine condition (once I got the case and screen, I NEVER took it out of the case only to clean it whenever it was necessary and or replace the screen protector), but doesn't mean there won't be a hardware issues. So I got extremely lucky on that. But knowing that how I cared for my computer and how long it lasted with good care, I am looking forward to upgrading to the surface pro 7 with max specs so it lasts me hopefully plus 7 years more. Hope this helps and sorry thatbit is lengthy! **Q: When it says type cover that means the keyboard right?** A: Yes. **Q: Is it included the surface pen?** A: No, it does not. **Q: how noisy is the i7 fan?** A: The fan is very quiet. It has only turned on a couple times for me. Those times were when I was charging the battery and doing heavy CAD work with multiple programs open. I would say the fan is quiet enough that you almost cannot hear it from across a kitchen table.
