Review: Great unit, but... - I used this for my home network since I had an abundance of keystone jacks to use up. The one issue is if you are using shielded twisted pair cabling. I had to run a couple of lines through an electrical chase and needed to use STP to minimize electrical interference. The issue is when it was terminated at the panel, the STP was so thick that I could not make the turn required to properly seat the jack. The solution was a 1"/2.5cm spacer behind the panel. Otherwise works great.
Review: Seems to work OK; product shape is a big differentiator from other patch blocks. - I installed this patch block in a Leviton structured media (wiring) cabinet. I bought it because it was Leviton-brand, and not too overpriced (unlike much of Leviton's other accessories). The shape of this patch block is different (higher, with a different angle) than many other common blocks. Depending on the application, that could be a positive or a negative factor. Because the innards of this particular cabinet won't be touched very often, there shouldn't be any problems. If the application required frequent changes, then this product probably wouldn't be good enough because it doesn't snap very tightly into the cabinet.

## Questions & Answers

**Q: Will this work in the Leviton structured media enclosure?**
A: The short answer is no. This mounts to a standard telephone punchdown block bracket. Although this would physically fit in a structured media cabinet, it is not designed to fit the mounting hole spacing and method of mounting in the cabinet, so making it "work" would require drilling new holes in the cabinet and it would not fit within the standard footprint of modules designed for the structured media cabinet.

**Q: Does it come with the mounting bracket? According to the Leviton part number it is supposed to include the mounting bracket...**
A: Yes, this part number does. You can buy them separately as well but this part number includes the bracket. If you're ever in a situation it's just a simple telco bracket. Same that's used for 110 and 66 cross connect blocks

**Q: Is there a spot to connect a ground wire for shielded cables?**
A: No, there is no clear way of grounding this for shielded cables.

**Q: Does this have a spot to connect a ground cable and work with shielded keystone jacks?**
A: No, it does not have a grounding lug.
It is not meant for shielded jacks.
The jacks snap into plastic retainer pieces.

### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Great unit, but...

### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ Seems to work OK; product shape is a big differentiator from other patch blocks.
*by G***F on February 28, 2026*

I installed this patch block in a Leviton structured media (wiring) cabinet. I bought it because it was Leviton-brand, and not too overpriced (unlike much of Leviton's other accessories). The shape of this patch block is different (higher, with a different angle) than many other common blocks. Depending on the application, that could be a positive or a negative factor. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ I had extra keystones, so this was perfect
*by M***L on November 1, 2013*

I was helping a non-profit get their network closet in order. I had a lot of keystones, but no patch panel. So this was perfect. I really like the freedom of being able to use whatever keystones types you have. I had all cat5e, but you could use phone or whatever. Another reviewer said it doesn't stay together well for him. It is true that there are three subsections of 4 ports each. While putting the keystones, the subsections did come out a couple times. But once everything was together, it works great! If I have one thing bad to say, I like patch panels that you can swing open. It's a bit more of a pain to add more ports here. The mounting is the exact same kind of mount that you have on a 66 block. But even though I like better patch panels, I usually never swing them open again so who cares in the end?
