7 year old loves her
My daughter has most of the original Monster High dolls, except for a few. Of course she wants all of the originals, but I am not willing to pay the crazy price for the very first ones. This was a great compromise. She loves it, especially the fins. It is about the same quality as the other Monster High dolls and she gets played with a lot and has held up fine.

Lagoona "Creature from the Black Lagoon" Blue
I bought this doll back in the fall of 2011 for $20, I'd say. I cannot believe how much these dolls are being sold for now! I had almost all of the original characters and I only had trouble with one breaking. Ghoulia's hand broke off. The tiny pegs they made to detach and reattach the limbs are very fragile, so I wouldn't recommend them as a child's toy. I didn't even know about them until a client (I was a color specialist) told me about them. I have always been a huge horror movie fan since I was young. I collected the universal monsters' stuffed characters too when they came out back in the late '90's. I always had loved Creature from the Black Lagoon the most. So, yes, I have every Lagoona doll with the exception of one, which I'm about to purchase. I will definitely hold on to her dolls, but I've sold most of my others already. I believe these dolls were targeted for an older age group (or collector), and not really meant to be "played" with but displayed. Lagoona is most certainly the more detailed out of the group. The webbing in-between her hands is genius. Mattel did their research on launching these dolls at the perfect time. Goth is in now, due to the huge success of Twilight and L.J. Smith's young adult books being turned into TV shows. I mean it's so crazy that I read all of those books in middle school! I am 30 and shocked by the vampire and occult craze going on now, from ages 6 and up! I love it and think maybe I was born a decade too soon ;)

[sort a] great doll
My Lagoona Blue is holding up very well, but I don't appreciate it that her fins on her legs come off. I already lost one and I'm afraid to play with her because I think I will lose the other one. But she comes with scary cute accessories. As in a pink bag, and a folder with stickers. This is by far, the best Monster High doll I own.

Monster High Dolls are pretty awesome
This is the first Monster High Doll I got my daughter; she had been to a friend's house and played with hers and come home requesting one. I have to say, these dolls are kind of impressive. They have a lot of detail and the limbs detach at the joints so the clothes can be put on more easily; however, the dolls don't fall apart, which is nice. The journal Lagoona came with is kind of adorable and doesn't talk down to kids. I love getting to talk about the old school monsters with my kid and well, the doll is just cute!

Hang loose and other jokes involved with our favorite surfing monster.
So, Lagoona Blue returns and she's dressed in fishnet, cotton and "jelly" shoes. One hand is open and the other is positioned in the hang loose sign. She comes with a pink "jelly" doll-sized bag and an updated diary, which, like the rest of the Wave 3 dolls, included the arc involving Spectra's gossip over a few monster relationships and a backstory on the monsters' heritages. This doll brought back memories of me in high school, mainly because I dressed differently, because I was years ahead of everyone else. The doll holds up to repeated dismembering of limbs, hands and fins through pulling. Not a lot of educational value is in Monster High dolls beyond teaching differences to others. I recommend this dolls to Lagoona Blue fans who want more story and more cutting-edge fashion.

Finally
Only two more dolls until all of the second toy line are mine. Personally in real life this doll is extremely cute and one really good piece for any collector.

MH dolls are fun
The doll herself is beautiful, however one of her hands had a pretty bad paint job. I only paid 18 when I bought her, and now at christmas time i see she has shot up in price(so glad I bought her early) Lagoonas outfit is really adorable, this is a good doll, her hands are molded differently than the other lagoona dolls I have seen and she has really cute accessories as well. Good to have in any monster high collection, beware the super small removable parts if you are buying her for a small child, hands, arms, and earrings all come off very easy.
