## Overview

The Salewa Mountain Trainer Men's Shoes are lightweight (438g) alpine approach shoes engineered with a 3F System that fuses lacing, sole, and heel for optimal fit and support. Featuring a Vibram MTN Trainer Evo outsole with aggressive, self-cleaning lugs, these shoes deliver superior grip on rocky, muddy, and snowy terrain. Crafted from robust suede with a breathable leather lining, they excel in warm, dry conditions and technical via ferrata routes thanks to specialized midfoot studs for enhanced power transmission.

## Description

The MTN Trainer Evo is an alpine approach shoe for technical hiking, via ferrata and trekking. The versatile and multifunctional Vibram MTN Trainer Evo sole provides safety and stability in difficult terrain. The deep, self-cleaning tread and aggressive lugs provide secure grip on rocky terrain, scree and via ferrata, as well as optimal traction on muddy ground, grass and snow. The special via ferrata zone in the midfoot area with right-angled studs allows maximum power transfer for better grip on metal cramps and ladders in via ferrata. The rugged suede upper has a rubber welt all around and features a GORE-TEX Extended Comfort lining for durable waterproofing and breathability: Wetness can not penetrate, while sweat and moisture can easily escape to the outside.

Review: Salewa footwear - Bought these shoes as i had plantar faciilitis in the foot, where walking became almost unbearable. These Salewa shoes after wearing for 3 days fixed the problem, i was amazed. I then inserted insoles and now my feet feel well protected. These shoes remind me when i was younger getting fitted up for my first pair of shoes. These help you walk more correctly where the weight from upper body is evenly distributed over the foot. It feels like your walking more on the balls of your feet, towards the front part of foot. I would highly recommend this brand of footwear especially if your out walking a lot. You need good, sturdy and robust footwear, Salewa more than provides that. Also folk with feet problems should try this brand Salewa. Could end up being a smart decision......
Review: Great - Great looking hiking / approach shoe I’m a size 9uk. But ordered a 1/2 size bigger ,glad I did as they fit perfect Time will tell how they last , but seem very well built and have great support , and a bonus that there blister free

### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ Good but I Prefer boots
*by R***. on 23 July 2022*

Sturdy, no blisters (like all Salewa footwear) and waterproof. Not much lighter than normal boots so limited benefit for me. Nice in the few hot days we get in Scotland or lower level hikes but they haven't changed my preference for boots.
