Having a small level will help getting this sprinkler level. I also used the handle of my gardening hand shovel to tamp the dirt around the sprinkler to make sure it wouldn't move around. It took some time due to small spaces, but it is solid in the ground and doesn't move when removing the cover for the hose connection. Make sure to cover the hose connection before covering with dirt as not to get dirt into the hole where the hose connect.Also, the sprinkler head wasn't tight when I took it out of the box, so make sure its secure before burying it or you will loose water into the ground and you wont have enough pressure. I have very high water pressure at my house and noticed that it sprays just beyond the 35 feet. Its only been a few hours since I installed, but so far...so good. Great product. I have a fairly small front yard so one original sprinkler and one junior will do the trick. I can also run both of them off of a dual connecter at the faucet with no problems. A big yard would require moving the hose to several stations during the watering process, but it's still cheaper than a whole underground sprinkler system. ### ⭐⭐⭐ 106F heat reveals a few flaws *by T***S on July 13, 2011* We installed 6 of these in our yard this spring. We were very pleased until...Texas Summer hit in earnest. Granted, this is the hottest summer in years, so we expect to be pouring on the water. But the heat revealed how unevenly the water is distributed. The area within a 10' radius of the sprinkler head is well watered, but beyond that we're having to supplement. The square sprinkler pattern is even worse, watering only 1' adequately. It is now obvious to us that whenever our temperatures rise above 90 degrees,we need double the amount of sprinkler heads recommended. And that will be a considerable cost. If we'd saved our money and that needed to install the new sprinkler heads, we'd be well on our way to a complete, automatic sprinkler system by now.So if you live in an area where you seldom see temps above 90 degrees and don't go for 3-4 months between rain, these would be great. And consider yourself incredibly blessed while you're at it! ### ⭐ I bought these due to the great reviews but I most of them appear to be ... *by A***R on August 23, 2015* I purchased 3 of these this year and 2 of the 3 have quit working. I bought these long after winter so there's been no freezing so that's not the issue. I bought these due to the great reviews but I most of them appear to be older, I think the manufacturing of them has changed as they feel cheap and most if not all is plastic. When I turn on the sprinkler they get stuck in one position and not always right away. They only get stuck when the sprinkler is supposed to go one direction (where it goes quickly to 're-set', not where it slowly sprays the other direction) so they could still be useful if you want them to go full 360'.
