HYS Heavy Duty Mobile Car/Truck SO-239 8.8inch Triangle Magnet Mount Base W/5M(16.4ft) RG58 Coaxial Cable PL-259 Plug

Had this mount before and it worked great. Its strong magnet held my Amateur Radio antenna in the center of my roof at 75+MPH under all weather conditions. I’m now buying another one so that I can mount my WeBoost Cellular antenna in the center roof of different company cars. I specifically chose this strong tri-magnetic base because I believe tri-mags are the strongest in general. I do a lot of highway driving to locations often in remote areas. Thus the type of cellular antenna needs, and because of the bulkiness of the cellular antenna, a mount strong enough to hold tight while resisting the forces of wind being exerted on the WeBoost antenna itself. I will update with photos once I get it mounted to let you see how I set it up, and how well it works.

This HYS heavy-duty tri-magnet mount exceeded my expectations. I’m using it with a Diamond NR770HB dual-band antenna on my Dodge Ram 2500, and it holds firm even at highway speeds. The magnets have serious grip and stay put through wind, rain, and vibration. The SO-239 connector is well-made and provides a solid connection for coax. The coax length is just right for most mobile setups, and I didn’t experience any noticeable signal loss. It’s ideal for mounting on larger vehicles, trucks, or even on metal surfaces during field operations. If you need a dependable magnetic mount for your mobile or portable ham radio antenna, this one is built to last and won’t disappoint.

Works very well, only complaint is that the rubber magnet covers wont stay on

Works perfect as advertised, however, if you lose the rubber protectors on the magnets then the center coaxial base will be scratching your vehicle (makes it too low).

I like this mag mount a lot but wish the magnets were much stronger my old one from another company was much stronger and was very hard to move or take off but this one tips over every time my triband mobile antenna goes into my garage or comes out. Another issue is the rubber boots come off every thim this antenna mount gets tipped over or is lifted up to take it off the vehicle I finally just took them off as they were very dissifult to put back over the magnets expecially when they are hot from being out in the sun and heat.

At first, I was disappointed as to the small footprint of this tri-mag mount. But, after screwing my Wilson 5000 antenna onto the mount I can see that it ain't going nowhere! Rock solid!

I love the triple mounts but this one I can’t use, because it will not fit my antenna.

Based on its expected delivery date, the item was a week late. 5 days after the projected delivery date, the tracking number said it was still not even shipped yet. I tried to cancel and they refused to cancel it. The item finally came a week late. I tried to use it and the magnets were too weak to hold my antenna up. This is only good for stationary operation.

Quality manufacture would buy again.

I have mounted a homemade base loaded 5/8 wave 2 metre amateur radio to his. The "whip" of the antenna is made out of 1'4 " copper tubing and is quite hefty. The mount stays upright at speeds over 100 km. so far.

Each of the 3 magnets seem powerful, coupled together and they add up to a base that stays put. I do have other strong (single) magnetic bases but an antenna of any reasonable length has a lot leverage. The wider base area formed by the triangular arrangement means the antenna's leverage is much reduced and less probe to tipping. Even on on non-magnetic surfaces the broad base makes for a stable antenna mount if not moving. On the basis of this first purchase I'm likely to buy several more.

Strong magnet I use it for my ham radio mobile antenna I had a 6 in magnet before I bought this one the antenna want stay on after going faster than 90 km per h I need it something stronger so I bought HYS Triangle base magnet its perfect 120km per h no problem at all very happy with it
