Review: Gotta Love Stubby - Read with 3rd-5th graders. Everyone loved Stubby! It was easy to read, and the kids were fascinated about a dog being a WW1 hero, so it kept them all engaged. (There is a great movie you can rent from Prime also)
Review: 8yo devoured it! :) - My 8-year-old saw the movie about SGT Stubby, so, when I saw this book, I knew I had to get it for her. She devoured this book! Every time she would come out of her room (girl's gotta eat sometime!), she'd excitedly tell us all about the adventures Stubby had in that section. There were some big/unfamiliar words (such as bayonet), which I appreciate because it helps expand her vocabulary. It also showed me how involved in the story she was because she would ask about the different words, instead of just skipping over them. We definitely recommend this book!

Read with 3rd-5th graders. Everyone loved Stubby! It was easy to read, and the kids were fascinated about a dog being a WW1 hero, so it kept them all engaged. (There is a great movie you can rent from Prime also)

My 8-year-old saw the movie about SGT Stubby, so, when I saw this book, I knew I had to get it for her. She devoured this book! Every time she would come out of her room (girl's gotta eat sometime!), she'd excitedly tell us all about the adventures Stubby had in that section. There were some big/unfamiliar words (such as bayonet), which I appreciate because it helps expand her vocabulary. Amazing so adventurous and fun to read. My nine year old loves this series. We have read some aloud and the whole family ends up listening in.
