Now I really wish I had just gotten this first and saved myself a lot of money and frustration. I just got this yesterday, but it definitely works better than any crayon sharpener I've had before. I don't trim the paper, it takes care of that. I'm not sure if other people got something different, mine looks like the one in the picture, regular crayons fit great in the bigger hole, and colored pencils fit perfect in the smaller hole. This does look a little different than a regular pencil sharpener, and it handles the crayons with amazing ease. I love this!
