I played a friends Gibson hollow body when I was 16 (1978) and at the age of 61 the price is and has always been out of reach so I got a bit of a history lesson when researching the Epiphone. 1st The name has been around 150 years. 2nd Gibson bought Epiphone in 1957. 3rd Sheraton came out in 1959. After reading several good reviews and being at an affordable price, the only thing to say is Dream come true! I have been so impressed with the way it was packaged, it came a week earlier than stated and the quality is superb! Absolutely no regrets.
Review: You Won't Regret It - This guitar is so playable and sounds as good as it looks, hence all the good reviews. I had a black and gold Gretsch G5422T Electromatic Hollowbody that I sold, as I just didn't care for it, and bought this to replace it. Great decision, as this beauty is so effortless to play. You'll have to replace the strings right away as your fingers will get black playing the ones that it comes with and saw some reviews mentioning this. Throw a new set of strings on this and adjust the action to your desire and you'll be amazed, especially for the price.

**Q: Where is this guitar made? Korea or China?**
A: It is our understanding that Gibson began all the Epiphone production in China in 2004 where some models were previously made in Korea or Japan or assembled in Nashville. As they state in an interview "Gibson Qingdao Factory - All Epiphone... All The Time!"

**Q: Can anyone confirm what hard shell case will fit the Sheraton Pro 11?**
A: The 335 case fits.

**Q: I,ve seen wine red on different web sites and it seems different colour than on this picture. Can you explain**
A: The color on mine is a more transparent red/burgundy. You are able to see the woodgrain under it in well lit room. This picture is not a good example. It is a beautiful slick gloss finish, that really is better in person than photo.

**Q: What are dimensioins of the lower bout and depth please?**
A: Approx. 15" lower and 1 3/4" depth

Always wanted a semi hollow. Already have a Gibson Les Paul. Beautiful design, quality pickups and guitar build. Action is great. Really like the flexibility to play both acoustic rock, rock, jazz and blues.
