I LOVE this adorable little kettle! I took it to a music festival over the past weekend where we stayed in a hotel, so I had easy access to an electrical outlet and fresh water. It boiled enough for my 17 ounce tea thermos, and I didn’t have to compete with my husband over the coffee maker just to make hot water for my tea. Besides, I hate coffee flavor in my tea! Pretty lightweight. Squashes down to a few inches and the handle is well designed to hug it when collapsed. The handle must be used before you boil though. I almost forgot to use it and discovered the pot is dangerously squishy if it’s not engaged properly.

I travel a lot and occasionally find hotel coffee makers a little gross. I decided to make my own coffee with an aeropress that needed a way to heat water. 20 oz of water boils in less than 4 minutes. It has a very cool feature that will auto shut off with a reboil function to keep your water at temperature if it cools down to much. The only problem with this feature is that it doesn't work at altitude. I live at 5,000 ft roughly and the auto shut off feature doesn't work because the water boils here at a lower temperature. Around 203° F (95° Celsius). I believe the auto shut off triggers at 212° F (100° Celsius). I haven't been to sea level yet to truly test this. The variable voltage input is great if you travel to other countries. The handle is sturdy and holds the soft silicone well. The lid stays put when you pour. Packs up nice and tight. Easier to pour if you remove the cord from the kettle. The shut-off issue doesn't bother me too much because it boils water so quick and I'm usually just making a small amount of hot water in a hotel room and can keep a watchful eye on it. Hope this helps you decide. UPDATE: This bad boy is going strong. The auto shut off feature does work at sea level no problem. One thing I have noticed is a little bit of staining on the stainless steel on the bottom inside. I think it's just a lower quality stainless steel and is rusting. Nothing detrimental to the operation or structure, it really is just a little stain. After I use it, I now wipe it out so no water is standing in it long term. This has eliminated any new stains.

I bought this in order to take with my on trips alongside my aeropress, so I can avoid the hotel coffee situation. It packs up nice and small and heats up quickly as well. It's easy to keep clean and the silicone seems like a reasonable thickness and has had no issues with leaking. I've used it a few times and am packing it up for a trip this week!

It folds down compactly, which makes it very convenient to take on trips. The water also boils quickly, so even though the capacity is a bit small, you don’t have to wait long when making multiple cups of instant noodles, coffee, or tea. It’s lightweight and very practical, and I find it extremely useful when traveling.

I was so excited to get this for an upcoming international trip next week. I read thru the instructions, noted how to change the power (110 vs 220) on the bottom of the unit - very easy and clear. Triple checked to make sure it was correct. It worked! I noted you need to UNPLUG it after use and turn the power button OFF, which I immediately did before even pouring the water. The water was way too hot for my liking, so I wanted to heat water this morning to time how long to heat it rather than waiting for the light to go off, which indicates it has reached max temp. I tried to plug it into the same outlet I used last night when it worked, and there was a HUGE pop. Not knowing if it was the device or the outlet I tried, so I tried another outlet - exact same HUGE pop. Note that I only TOUCHED the outlet, didn’t even get the prongs in at all for either outlet. Since my lights now went out, I went to the power panel, and the breakers had flipped. I double-checked to make sure the power switch was set to off and the power source was set to 110, both were correct per instructions. No water got on the outside of it in my first use. I simply turned it off and unplugged it - that’s it. Very disappointed and returning, but no time to replace it before we leave.

I’ve had this kettle for over 1.5 years now and we’ve used it probably 50 times. It is super light and doesn’t take up much space, works very well for 2 cups of coffee, and easy to clean. It’s a staple for every trip we take. Highly recommend.
