Is it 150mg elemental calcium or is that the total calcium?

Elemental amounts of any minerals means the total of amount of it that is absorbed by the body and used. You have to be careful in reading labels some companies don't give the elemental amount so you don't really know how much calcium you are getting. This company Pure Encapsulations reply brought out that it uses the elemental amount on its labels so yes . Elemental calcium is the actual amount in each of their capsules which is 150 mg per capsule, two capsules equaling a 300 mg dose.

So if you’re in your 60s, you may need to take as many capsules as it takes to get you up to 1200 mg. of calcium per day, which is the standard recommendation. Don’t know if the fact that it’s in the form of calcium citrate changes that. Does a yone else?

Provides 23% of daily requirement in 2 but no fillers

Read the percentage--23% for 2. You have to take 8 to get close to daily amount. I knew this before purchasing but I like the fact that there are not a bunch of additives. The only ingredient is calcium citrate. I am willing to take 8 per day to get only the mineral instead of the additives. It will cost more in the long run but worth it. Some products l looked at said calcium citrate on the label but reading the fine print on the back said calcium carbonate which has much less bioavailability and many other ingredients.
