Outside the unit it is a 12 inch depth from the back to the front door of the unit. **Q: Does this come with rack screws? or do we need to buy separately?** A: Mine came with a bag of rack screws. I don't recall how many because I used my own preferred black ones. I think it came with silver ones, but it did not come with screws for mounting the rack to a surface except for masonry. I got lag bolts and mounted to studs. Keep in mind this is not standard width, so you have to mount it to a board or something else that is attached to wall studs. It was also weird because it came with a cooling fan, but I dont use it because it's really loud. **Q: Where can I find plain shelves for this?** A: It comes with 3 shelf brackets. You could simply place a flat piece of sheet metal across brackets and anchor with a screw to stop movement if necessary.
