Seche Vite Dry Fast Top Coat – Quick Dry Clear Nail Polish Top Coat for High Gloss Shine, Long-Lasting Manicure, Made in the USA, 0.5 fl oz

I have been reading about this brand of topcoat for so long now. I do not know why I never bought it until recently. I think maybe the price had something to do with it. After all I thought it was just clear nail polish and I can get that at the dollar store. Am I glad that I finally took the plunge and bought a bottle. I am not what they call someone who spends a lot of time on "cuticle care" (Pitch Perfect reference *high5*) I keep my nail shorts because they tend to chip & break easily if I do not. I love nail polish colors, God knows I have plenty of them. Just recently I got my first "gel mani", boy, was I ever impressed. It was awesome. The color I chose was a beautiful green color that resembled something you'd see on a tropical island, it was so shiny and strong. I went swimming, playing in the sand, playing in the ocean, doing all kinds of outdoorsy stuff on my vacation, and not one chip was to be seen. In fact it was not until the 12th or 13th day that I noticed the color was coming off from the bottom up, noticed the top down. Which is what I like. Back to SECHE VITE DRY FAST TOP COAT: when I am not doing a gel manicure (which is always) I like my normal polish manicure (with a little bit of nail art on ring fingers to make me feel pretty) to last as long as humanly possible. Not only does this topcoat make my polish last days longer, it also makes my nails incredibly shiny, and it is helping them to grow stronger and longer. I am using a vitamin filled base coat to help my nails grow strong (Orly), I use a coat of this on top of the base coat, then I put my color , then I use this as my topcoat/quick dry, and I let it dry for about 20 minutes before I do anything. I have found that quick dry topcoats, quick dry sprays and drops, etc. Are not really quick dry at all. In fact when you try to use your nails too quickly after applying the quick dry topcoat, you will find smudges/ridges, and your nails become messy. I believe it helps the polish to dry a couple of minutes faster, but not immediately. The quick dry labeling lulls you into a false sense of security. I am sure many of us out there have used a quick dry product only to end up having to redo our nails. To wrap it up I think that this product is outstanding. I can see what all of the hype is about, and I'm still not sure whether it is worth the price, but I believe it is money well spent, for me anyways. I found that this product has done what it says it will do. Except for the quick dry thing. I believe it dries nails quicker, but not the quickest. Or completely. I like using this polish on top of my base coat. There are times when I want to go polish free, but I like to use the vitamin enriched base coat to strengthen and lengthen my brittle nails. This topcoat not only enhances the vitamin base coat it also adds a beautiful shine.

I have been using this particular top coat and only this top coat for 5 years. I should start by saying that I work in an ER and I am very hard on my nails. I am constantly washing my hands all day long. I paint my nails at least once but sometimes twice per week. I have a borderline obsession with nail polish. This is hands down the best top coat available. I have used OPI, Essie, and some other cheaper drug store brands. None of them compare to Seche Vite. So now I will commence my list of why this is the only top coat that I use. I will also address the claims by some granola people out there that Seche Vite contains chemicals that are going to kill you. It dries super fast! Not only does it last the longest, look the shiniest, but it drys faster than anything I have ever used. You can apply this immediately after applying color and it will be dry in minutes. Do be careful though, if you are using certain polishes, the brush does absorb some of the color. It is easy to get a little red in your top coat and it looks pink-ish now. I avoid this by just dipping the brush in the topcoat when I am done, and wiping it on a paper towel (or whatever trashy magazine or junk mail happens to be lying near me). This top coat is so glossy. People are constantly asking me, "are those gel nails?" And I say no, its Seche Vite of course! It lasts a long time! I wash my hands or use hand sanitizer at least 40 times per day at work. Probably a lot more than that actually. And this top coat lasts. Sometimes after 3 days of work in a row, it does get dull looking. So I just apply again and my nails look good as new. There is a warning label on seche vite regarding the chemicals this product contains. This is only required by the State of CA, that is why the label is on there. The polish contains toluene. Yes toluene is not good for your body. But if you are just using Seche Vite to paint your nails, even if you did it every day, I doubt you would be exposed to very much of this substance at all. The people that toluene is dangerous for are those that smoke crack cocaine and PCP where toluene is used as a solvent in large quantities. So as long as you don't use Seche Vite to smoke your crack, this toluene will probably not hurt you. And I have not heard of any actual cases where seche vite was indicated as the cause of death or birth defects. And finally, even if these chemicals are going to cause damage to my body, it is worth it. If this top coat is wrong, I don't want to be right.

I’ve had weak, fragile nails all my life, and my manicures have ever lasted more than two days, but Seche Vite has been a game changer for me. Yes, as a top coat on a manicure, it quickly dries polish so you can get on with your day. But I accidentally discovered that it has an additional benefit. If you put one more coat on a few hours or even one day later, your nails will be stronger and your manicure will last longer. My nails have never been longer or stronger in my life, and my manicures last at least a week. GREAT PRODUCT. HIGHLY RECOMMEND.

Before I bought this product, I looked for reviews of fast dry clear coats. Previously I had used Sally Hansen's hard as nails line, which when dry, is very nice and helps with growing longer nails, but takes longer to dry than I am patient. Invariably I'd do something once I thought the polish was dry, and end up smudging it. So frustrating! I was tired of smudges with every single color change or touch up, but then I read good stuff about this product. Boy oh boy, it was all true, and then some! It comes off the brush looking thick, but it glides onto the nail perfectly. It DOES dry fast; very quickly your nails are dry to the touch. I only had a tiny bit of trouble when I tried to put this product over really wet nail polish (don't do that.) Since it's thick, it tends to drag on very wet polish. If your polish has dried even a little, then it works fine. Once in place, it does. not. smudge. I love it! I wasn't prepared for what a gorgeous finish it puts on your nails: high gloss, a thick but not too thick clear layer, smooth smooth smooth, and it even evened out some knubbly areas where my polish had clumped as it dried. I think some people call those bubbles. The Seche Vite top coat had the effect of softening any mistakes in the polish and letting the colored polish underneath flow into a more perfectly smooth layer. A couple chips I had touched up with a complementary color, creating an ombre effect, and adding this top coat let the color edges soften into each other even better. It looks fantastic -- like a salon effect. I had one smudge that I pushed back into place, but without the topcoat it was blatently obvious I'd had an accident with half-wet half-dry polish. Later in the day after putting this topcoat over it, you'd only know there had been a smudge if I pointed it out to you. I love that. Wow, who invented this stuff? Give them an award! I wasn't sure I'd want to use a topcoat all the time, but when something makes your manicure look amazing, and makes doing it easier, I'm sold. Sold, sold, sold! I'll be a Seche Vite Dry Fast top coat user forever. Absolutely worth the five bucks I spent. Maybe worth more. I am so glad I tried it. Highly recommended.

I was on the hunt for a great topcoat that would help my polish stay on my nails as my polish tends to chip off the same day I apply it. I have never had polish last for longer than a day and a half on my nails even with a good base coat and roughing them up and all that. I purchased both Seche Vite (SV) and Deborah Lippman Addicted To Speed (DL ATS) topcoat. DL ATS cost $20 for a bottle, SV cost $5. I used the same amount of coats of a China Glaze polish on both hands and I put SV on one and DL ATS on the other. The hand with Seche Vite had a blindingly bright shine, dried very fast and lasted for 3 days before chipping/peeling off my nails. The hand with DL ATS topcoat had a nice subtle shine, dried just as quickly and the polish lasted 2 1/2 days before chipping lightly. So the very expensive topcoat lasted slightly less but didn't chip nearly as much, but both were great products. I was a bit surprised that the Seche Vite nails peeled like they did. The way it peeled up, I just tugged and watched my polish come off in one whole piece. In the end I was very pleasantly surprised with Seche Vite. For $5 a bottle, it lasted longer the high end stuff, the shine was gorgeous and the application wasn't as difficult as some said it would be. I didn't think the high end stuff was good enough to spend $15 more a bottle. I'll be sticking with Seche Vite. Caveat: If you are the type of person who likes to fill in the chips and reapply the topcoat, this one is not a winner. I found the topcoat sort of -resistant- to repairs. Since I don't tend to repair my polish because I'm fickle and get bored with color quickly, this wasn't a problem for me.

The best top coat on the market. It goes on super thick, which upon first use, seems weird, but that's the way it's supposed to be and it dries really quickly. Within 90 seconds, you'll be able to touch your tails gently with no smudge. This dries hard and protects your polish better than any other top coat. It's not like getting a gel manicure, but it's the greatest product for regular polish. Gives the very best protection against chipping and gives a great shine. It's the only top coat I use. You can find cheaper top coat, but why not use the best on the market?

Finally a fast dry that’s actually fast! Like, so fast! Keeps polish from chipping and a great shine! Best top coat I’ve ever tried, and I’ve tried them all!

Love it I tryed a lot of top coat But this one drys quick and shiny fells soft I will be buying this one for now on I been seeing it on Tik tock a lot And wanted to try it 👍😊 so am very happy I will be using it on my press on nails 💅

Was a little unsure of this topcoat after reading other reviews and comments. However I am very pleased with it. I would say it’s last incredibly well on toes. I usually lose polish from my toes easily within a day this makes it last weeks. Not quite as long on fingers chips after few days might be my poor technique in application. It dries quickly and gives a reasonably good shine to nail. Will likely purchase again.
