DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME WITH THIS JUNK!!
First of all I bought this because the unit looked and sounded like a good starter package. Shipping was great and arrived 1 day earlier than expected. It arrived on a Monday, I was not able to unpack right away due to work schedule. On the following Saturday I had a few hours before heading out for a wedding so I thought I would unpack the unit. Everything was packed very well and there were no larger items missing. I unpacked the welding cart and found that there were bolts missing, luckily I had 4 extra bolts the correct thread size laying around. Cart was very sturdy and at a great height. It was easy to roll and move around. Placed the welder on the cart and that was it for the day. On Sunday I went to work on setting up the welder, first thing the box right on the outside says for standard household current. 115V 20 amp, the product description stated the same, whole reason I bought this unit; power output rating on standard household current. Loaded wire spool, changed the leads over for flux-core wire and plugged the unit in to a dedicated 20 amp circuit, pulled the trigger to finish feeding the wire to the torch and NOTHING!! Fan was running now power to the wire feed. Looked under the troubleshooting section of the manual and did everything correctly....or so I thought, in the installation section it states that the unit min requirement to operate is 115V 30 Amp Circuit is needed to operate unit. This is Sunday and really this sucks. Monday called a buddy who is a licensed electrician to install a 30 AMP circuit for the welder...that was fast and easy. Plugged the welder in to the new circuit; Fan runs, appears smoother and faster, pulled the trigger to feed the wire and NOTHING!! no wire feed, manually fed the wire through to the torch pulled trigger feed worked for about an inch and I thought ready to adjust tension, followed direction with no luck attempt to see if unit would even arc and NOTHING!!. AT this point its now 10 PM on a Monday night I'm pissed and Smarter tools doesn't have a 24 hr customer service I decided to in reverse order take the unit apart and pack everything back up and started the return process with Amazon. Overall, this unit looks to be a great deal and ready to use straight out of the box, well my experience wasn't so good. Wasted time and further project delays due to JUNK, Now I have to wait even longer to finish the project because I have to wait on the return and BTW no fault of Amazon!! Save your money and ore importantly your time DO NOT buy this and look at lower end models of Name brand welders you all know the RED and BLUE brands you will h ave a better out of the box experience and also better customer service. This review is not a reflection on Amazon but more so the manufacturer of the welder and their customer service.

For begginers like me is the best machine
Im a begginer and this machine let me do some nice work, totally recommend it for doing fences and other mild steel works, the car is not very stiff but you have a welder anyway you can weld it.
