Took me maybe 20 minutes total and I used a handheld screwdriver which is why it even took that long. The open shelving underneath is awesome to have and provides plenty of room to store stuff. You could easily put baskets under there to make it look more organized. The pad that comes with it is fairly thin and we already had a changing pad from my baby shower so it easily sits on top and I have no worries about it falling off or moving. My changing pad is a bit smaller than the space it fits into but it leaves just enough room to stash diaper cream and a few extra diapers. That has been the biggest challenge is having to bend down to the shelf to grab extra diapers or wipes, so we are trying to come up with a way to have that stuff more easily accessible, maybe hanging baskets or something. But overall, this is a great solution for our small space and provides ample storage underneath. The assembly was a breeze and it seems fairly sturdy. I'm not worried about it collapsing or the baby falling out as the edges are high enough. Plus, the price was right when we didn't get one at our shower!!
