SpongeBob SquarePants - The Complete 2nd Season

We continue into the second season of Spongebob SquarePants, with SpongeBob and his friends with their crazy antics, fun, and new adventures, all of the characters from the previous season are here too, Mr. Krabbs is still cheap and having problems with his rival who owns a restaurant across the street from The Krusty Krabb. At times SpongeBob and his friends can be inappropriate but that's what makes them so hilarious to watch and it's done out of innocence and no malice, even though Squidward can be a bit of a jerk at times, I think he ( Squidward ) and other characters show the reality of some people. I.e. Some cheap, kind hearted, intellectuals (Sandy Cheeks ), and people that are the kindest but not the brightest of the bunch ( Patrick ) I think this show is great for children because I believe that they can learn something from it, I know how absurd that sounds, but it teaches morality in so many ways, try watching one or more of the episodes before. Allowing your children to watch it, I'll tell you how much SpongeBob and the others are beloved characters, I remember when I was in high school and we had pajama day ( yes, we did have that going on, lol ) I can't tell you the number of teenagers that had on their SpongeBob SquarePants pajamas on, lol. I think some of them went out and bought their SBSP pajamas just because we were allowed to wear something different on that specific day.

I got exactly what I wanted but the first disc in this set came scratched & has been skipping. The disc was not placed on the holder in the case so I assume it was sliding around in the case through the entire delivery.

The DVD case came brand new & sealed in plastic, and it wasn't chipped, dented, or broken. The disk works, and played without issues, too. Which is exactly what I was hoping for, as sometimes quality can be a hit-or-miss in my experience buying physical copies of DVDs and Blu-rays on amazon. There are other reviews if you want more information on the content/features and episode breakdowns - it's Spongebob season 2, all episodes are family friendly.

This early season, along with 1 and 3, was one of the greatest ever written. It was when there was still a team of writers as opposed to one single writer who is forced to come up with all of the material for every episode. It contains largely iconic episodes. The best thing about season 2 is that it provides the rare window for Patrick Star when he was more of the intelligently-designed 'dumb' character (tantamount to Peter Griffin in the middle seasons of Family Guy). Rather than the slow season 1 or the babbling season 6, season 2 Patrick has quick quips at different points that keep the crowd in stitches. Likewise, Spongebob is still the goofy, lovable character rather than the screaming nuisance that, while still funny at times, the new SB character has become. If you're a diehard fan, you'll probably like this season, 1, and 3. The later seasons attempted to overstep their working formulas, but some still enjoy them, which is great. At the end of the day, I am happy to see the franchise alive and well. Watch this 2000-2001 era season for some good, classic laughs!

I watched this with my younger grandson. It was his choice. Quite truthfully, I confess that this old lady enjoyed Sponge Bob. I think the writer or creator of Mr. Sponge Bob did a wonderful job. It is funny and clever. It definitely held my attention. No, I would not have selected this on my own to watch but it was fun. My grandson roared with laughter which made it all the better. We had a very good time. I will watch some more Sponge Bob's whenever he wants my company. I recommend this for anyone with a sense of humor, a little boy (or girl) to share it with, and maybe a little snack to go along with it. It made me want some 'crabby patties' for sure.

Season Two came on time and thankfully all the discs were in perfect condition! The discs work, as you are able to watch episode after episode continuously or choosing certain episodes do your choice. However, the inside holders (the two bars that hold the discs together) arrived broken! I have to be careful every time I open the entire set to make sure the discs don’t break. In general, great product- as you are able to watch all Season 2 episodes, except the for the broken handles.

I ordered this expecting just Season 2. What I got was Seasons 1 AND 2, both in NTSC format, with canadian ratings icons, so this isn't an import at all?

Sicher hat kaum einer noch nicht von dem lustigen Schwamm aus Bikini Bottom gehört. Entweder man liebt ihn oder man hasst ihn! Zu der DVD-Box brauche ich nicht viel sagen. Wie der Titel schon verrät, handelt es sich hierbei um die komplette 2. Staffel, welche auf 3 Einzel-DVD's mit je eigener Hülle aufgesplittet ist. Auch wenn die 2. Staffel (als Metallbox bzw. Spardose) auf dem deutschen Markt erhältlich ist (Schönheitsfehler: wird als Best-of Teil 1 angepriesen), tendiert man einfach dazu sich den hier vorgestellten Artikel aus England importieren zu lassen! Warum? Ganz einfach: Deutsche Tonspur, deutsches Menü & Preisleistungsverhältnis! Einfach am Anfang "Deutsch" wählen und schon kann der Spaß beginnen :) Bei dieser Box gibt es sogar ein kleines Gimmig "Around the World with Spongebob Squarepants featurette", welches den Genuss daran nur abrundet. Auch an Qualität büßt man nichts ein, ich zumindest konnte keinen Unterschied zwischen jeweiligen Ausführungsvarianten bemerken ;) Fazit: Zugreifen!!!

Llegó en buenas condiciones. Viene en Idioma español e inglés. Amo Bob Esponja y esto es para mi colección.

Super, alle stories sind auch auf Deutsch zu sehen, was aufgrund des UK Imports nicht unbedingt zu erwarten gewesen wäre, Preis für 3 DVDs mit insgesamt 39 Folgen absolut genial,eher zu empfehlen als ein Einzel DVD Kauf da hier meist nur 5-7 Folgen drauf sind.
